Seeking to neutralize a New York Times report that suggested he may not have paid any income tax for years, Donald Trump on Monday cast himself as a savvy businessman and master of the tax code who plans to put that expertise to use on behalf of everyday Americans if he wins the presidency.

Trump repeatedly called the tax code an “unfair system” — while also acknowledging he’s been a beneficiary. But he sought to portray that juxtaposition as a positive, saying he’s the only person in the race who understands the tax code and can fix it. “I am working for you now,” the GOP nominee insisted. “I’m not working for Trump.”

Since I also take deductions to alleviate my tax bill, I won't condemn Trump for doing the same as long as what he did was allowed by law.

But Trump is a tax shamer. And that makes him a hypocrite.

Non sequitur. All US businesses operate under this system that you, through your congressional representatives, have supported over the years. A system that Donald Trump has criticized for decades as asinine, and thankfully soon will be in a position to do something about.

Projecting indeed, per usual.  And it's ironic, also per usual, that the #alwaysTrump camp apparently is A-OK with higher debt and big government elitism....since Trump represents that (and the stagnant economy it produces) only too well, and has for decades.  Most of what Trump 'trumpets' is just the same ole same ole Democrat policies...only with the big fat Trump label slapped on.

Trump has never seen a big-government program that he (or his family, namely Ivanka) didn't just LOVE....as proven by their recent pushing of federally mandated maternity leave....yet another Democrat wish-list agenda item.

Bottom line....Hillary may be progressive large.....but Trump is nothing but progressive lite.  And his temperament leads one to question whether he wouldn't be even worse for the country.
