Obama ditches diplomacy, attacks Trump at U.N.

The president didn't use Trump's name. But he didn't need to.

UNITED NATIONS — There wasn’t much diplomatic about it: President Barack Obama and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon repeatedly denounced Donald Trump and his brand of politics here as they addressed leaders from around the world Tuesday.

Three days after declaring that Trump’s candidacy is a threat to American democracy, Obama said that while globalization has its downsides, the wrong response comes “more often from the right” to produce an “aggressive nationalism, a crude populism…which seeks to restore what they believe was a better, simpler age free of outside contamination.”

Trump's protectionism deserves to be trashed.  It would destabilize the entire world's economies.

True.  But Obama's behavior here is contemptible.  As Trump is at least in the running for the presidency, the current SOB is undermining his country when he does this.

Hussein was following the lead of his socialist counterpart, Hugo Chavez, who, while speaking at the UN, verbally attacked then President George W Bush.

When did Obama ever have diplomacy. It's been 8 years of petty, preachy, catty, and judgy lashing out at America and the world like a spoiled rich 10 year old.
The Republic is lost.

Wow.  Just wow.

Somehow.....Barack Hussein Obama (aka Barry Soetero) continues to amaze me with his stunning and astonishing hypocrisy.  Especially considering that that crude populism is exactly what got him into the White House.  And considering that he, himself, was rather 'aggressive' re: his proposing a national civilian "security" force ....and how he pushed ad nauseam that "Hope and Change" BS....which amounted to an anti-nationalism stance (America bad - Obama good).  Because, you know....we can't have people loving America and being all patriotic and stuff.
