Thomas Platt, the biology professor who named a parasite Baracktrema obamai after President Barack Obama, explained that he meant it as a compliment.

"I'm the scientist who recently made news for naming a new genus and species of parasite after President Obama," Platt said, writing for The Washington Post. "Before you accuse me of being some kind of hater, racist, or worse — as plenty have — let me be clear: It was absolutely intended as an honor."

He might get away with it because there are many,many good reasons they are called "Dims",but I'm betting this is a scientist that ain't NEVER getting any more goobermint research grants.
