Throughout this thread, I am reminded of how the supporters of Trump howled at TOS that Ted Cruz, who said of Liz Mair's Make America Awesome PAC ad "That's not one of ours." was repeatedly berated for not "disavowing" the ad forcefully enough (when it was pointed out that he had, in fact, disavowed the ad by saying "That's not one of ours.").
Despite Cruz's statement they had cartwheeling sh*tfits over him 'not disavowing' the ad, justifying the attacks Trump made on Heidi.

Now, Trump is faced with support from a group which is a situation far worse than someone running a stock photo of Mrs. Trump, and all you hear from that camp are crickets chirping.

I don't expect any semblance of proportion in this nor any other instance of Trump doing whatever he wants to do, and that is an indicator of someone (and supporters) entirely willing to bend rules and standards for their own benefit.

They've done it again and again. I remember at TOS when the gay NY hotel owners held a fundraiser for Cruz they threw fits about Cruz "pandering" to gays. By the time winter rolled around they had shifted from Ted Cruz panders to gays to Ted Cruz wants to kill gays.

The ethanol issue is just another example of their complete abandonment of principle to remain in line with Trump.

Israel has abortion and recognizes same-sex marriage.  This alone is enough to at least wonder if this is the same Israel spoken about in the Bible. We can be supportive of them but shouldn't go overboard.

I myself was once "Anti Israel" and didn't believe I was an antisemite. Fortunately enough years passed with the weight of fact becoming overwhelming and I was forced to take a long hard look and accept the fact that I was an antisemite. That's when I was able to make the change.

Today I can disagree with individual Jews on specific issues and with specific policies of Israel but disagreement and resistance are no longer my default positions.

I've actually 'evolved' in the opposite direction. Having grown up in an atmosphere of actively defending Jews from discrimination and supporting nascent Israel, I'm now much more willing to be critical of both.

Even if there is an "alt-right", if it is an "inclusive definition", I don't see the Alex Jones types as being racist and that is part of the problem in trying to label a whole group as being racists and the other adjectives that in fact, Clinton made in her "deplorable" statement.

This is not even a reasoned debate, Jewish talk show host Michael Medved says foreign aid shouldn't go to Israel or any other countries.

So, here we have in this statement above which is more hate mongering per many statements that do not pretend to be anything more than that.

If you discard the tendency to label people, and take them on a person by person basis, you will find good and evil in every group, and to some degree that will be determined by their interests and your own. Painting with a broad brush, no matter which way, isn't very good policy.
