Inside McConnell's plan to save Senate GOP
Facing the loss of their majority, the Republican leader asks for help — and money.

Mitch McConnell relayed a warning to his fellow Republican senators on Wednesday: Senate control is up for grabs and individual senators' efforts — and wallets — may be the only way to save his majority leader job.
The Senate GOP has a terrible map to defend and a Republican nominee in Donald Trump whose unpopularity threatens to drag the GOP back into the minority. But Majority Leader McConnell (R-Ky.) urged his colleagues to put all that behind them on Wednesday at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, insisting that Republicans are in this race.
