Trump isn't going to be a judge, so his opinion on Kelo doesn't change the legal landscape. Eminent Domain is a necessary measure and has a place in the government toolbox.
Obamacare IS a disaster and I haven't seen any of Trump's proposals given an actual fiscal score. I doubt the program he come's up with will be more expensive than the current convoluted system unless it is by agreement with the American people.

Great point about ethanol. Also, when we are sitting on a sea of oil it isn't really smart to use food for gas. Corn is one of the staples of our food chain and any excess capacity could be used as a lever in foreign policy.

It is one of the biggest brain farts foisted off on us by what passes for our government. It not only rusts out gas lines,melts plastic carb parts,gas tanks, and gas filters, it also LOWERS mpg and pollutes ground water to make it useless for watering crops or even drinking.

Please accept my apology that my post sounded like I was singling you out.  It was meant to address both pro-Trump and anti-Trump sides.  I just chose your post as a vehicle to express my belief that we all have more in common with each other than we do with Democrats, and my hope that we can all come together after November...after the requisite 'I told you so's have been flung in their...or our faces.

As I mentioned in my original post I think you are an exceptionally intelligent writer and TBR is lucky to have your voice.

@Once-Ler, I obviously misunderstood you.  That's my fault.  I agree with everything you've said and I hope that we can, somehow, heal  the rift after the election is over.  I'll say right here and now that, should Trump win and should he actually be a good president, I'll be the first one to admit I was wrong.  I don't think that will happen, personally, but if it does, it will benefit us all.

I'm also wondering what the number of earthquakes will be when the feral government finally has to pay to pump all all the water already poisoned by ethanol to prevent it from poisoning the new rain water seeping into the ground?

Being a farmer is still in the top ten most dangerous jobs. Working in the oil industry isn't.

Not one earthquake has been caused by hydraulic fracturing. (Look at ND, tens of thousands of wells, and not one earthquake since 1982 in the area where oil is produced, and that not from fraccing). Like we Geologists tell the Geophysicists, "It's not our Fault." (that's a joke, son).

Not one water well has been shown to be contaminated by fraccing.
 
The methane those guys light coming out of their faucets has been doing so since long before anyone fracked a well, and I knew guys in West Virginia in the '70s who could light the gas coming off the spring they got their water from. (Why they haven't figured out how to capture that methane and use it is beyond me. I'd at least have it heating an outbuilding in the winter, or be cooking over it year-round.)

So please, show the stats where fraccing is more dangerous than farming and ethanol production.
