I am not sure that I have. (confusion/honesty)
I just go on and try to do a better job from there. (confusion/honesty)
I don't think so? (confusion/honesty)
If I do something wrong, I think I just try to make it right. (OK, nothing wrong with that.)
I don't bring God into that picture. I don't. (respect for God and maybe some embarrassment about his faith.)
"When we go into church — and when I drink my little wine, which is about the only wine I drink, and have my little cracker — I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness. I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed, OK? (sounds like he feels embarrassed by feeling better after communion)
It sounds to me like he has faith, but like a child. He is both confused about what he is supposed to do, and may be embarrassed about believing in God. Which would not be anything new or unusual. I do not think these are the words of some Satanic power seeker.
I have little doubt that Hillary would have portrayed herself as the second most religious, God fearing, salvation seeking, woman ever in the world, right after Mother Mary. This is not what Trump did. He told the truth, which is kind of a weird thing for a politician to do.
But, in the end, I like all of you and have no intention to argue with the faith beliefs of anyone, with or without Trump being involved. It is what it is.
