It won't change the outcome but this crap needs to be corrected or there will be serious outrage in the future.

Correct. It is looking more and more like there is a good chance Trump will win, or at least be competitive, so it is important that corruption and this type of stuff be exposed so power is not abused. We can't just be cheerleaders because someone has an R behind their name- the only thing one should stand for is what they believe is right.

People who cheered the outcome of the ongoing drama on the floor of the convention may have misunderstood the stakes.
While it wrestled power away from the delegates and back to the party, which helped Trump this time, it is also a way to guarantee the will never be another Trump type candidacy that doesn't meet their (party) approval, if the GOP has their way.
Be careful what you wish for.
