LEVIN to Trump-Surrogates: You can’t blame Kristol, Goldberg or Glenn Beck for Trump loss!

The Right Scoop   Published August 30, 2016 7:33 pm
 by The Right Scoop

Mark Levin opened his show today hammering the Trump-surrogate media, pointing out that only Trump is to blame for whether he wins or loses. As large as the conservative media is, Levin argued it’s just not big enough to make this kind of difference.

Listen:

After going through a very long article at NRO describing the uphill battle Trump has in specific swing states, Levin elaborated on his earlier point.

Here’s a snippet:

If only the #NeverTrumpers, if only Jonah Goldberg and Bill Kristol and Glenn Beck and this one and that one, if only they’d get behind Trump, then we’d be winning! Then we’d win big time! Oh YES! — no we wouldn’t. As popular as many of those men and women are, they’re not going to sway anybody one way or another. This is a presidential election. People make up their own minds.

Here’s the audio:

At this point it appears the loss will be so massive everyone will acknowledge that Trump was a deeply flawed candidate.

Blame?   Hell no.  Credit them for taking the bastard down to where Trump belongs.

Hannity just wants to have somebody to blame other than himself when the Donald loses.  Just like the Donald, it's never their fault.  Hannity has been up tRump's Rump the entire time so even though ultimately a tRump lose is tRump's fault, Hannity and the other tRumplets hold an equal responsiblity.

Hannity relying on people being sheep who will follow where we're led.

It only shows that Hannity never really understood conservatives.

We're not a collective mass.

Levin is dead on. Donny is running a lazy and schizophrenic campaign of meaninglessness. Picking fights with Cruz and Morning Joe while Hitlary takes a nap on the lead. No amount of propping up will keep Trump from being the loser he inherently is.

They have been treating Conservatives like Democrats treat blacks for so long, they assume Conservatives will vote en bloc like them, too.

Historically GOP has drawn 89-93% support from base.  Trump is stuck on 80%

Yeah....well....they have another damned "think" coming.

Insanity = doing the same thing (voting blindly for the GOP candidates, no matter what or who they are or how bad they've been for the conservative cause) over and over again and expecting a different result (expecting to get respect from the GOP we supported and expecting them to do what they SAID they would do in return for those votes and majority control).

No more.  If anything good could be claimed to have come out of this disastrous election year.... it could be said that our eyes are finally fully open and our resolve is firm to stop the madness of voting for these RINO morons from now on.

What a great point.

I am a conservative and will not vote for Trump. If the Pubs want my support (from what I can tell they don't) then they need to fight for what I believe in. I don't expect to get everything exactly as I want it, but I do expect to see some accomplishments. I'm going to a labor day party where a bunch of my friends will be who are Black and/or Puerto Rican. We talk politics a lot and I can't wait to see their faces when I tell them I won't vote for Trump in part because I refuse to be taken for granted like they are by the Rats.

I think you are right.
Since the rise of talk radio, host would routinely back the "R" running and assume all conservatives would, too.
For the most part we did.
we may have grumbled and said, "Well, they aren't as conservative as we would like, but we going to do it so at least we get some conservative ideas in office", or something to that effect.
Now, a lot of us are saying"No, not this time, this time you've gone too far" and the talk show host don't know what to do.
Some are lashing out at us.

Well, after being taken for granted comes contempt, and that is the way most of the GOP has been treating Conservatives lately, as the Democrats are treating blacks and Latinos (Take your handout and STFU).

If the disaffected of both parties (D & R) voted 'third' party, there would be four.

Well, we heard the saw about "Don't let the perfect stand in the way of the good", but when the perfect is only standing in the way of the not-so-good, what do you do? Without ideals, we have no targets, morally or economically, no heroes to look up to, no bar to go over. The lowering of expectations only allows substandard performance to become the new standard. Lather, rinse, repeat, and over time, the 'bar' is a gouge in the floor, and it will be hard to find someone to even step over that.

We did hold our noses, but the stench is getting so bad that just doesn't help any more.

Some are terrible at admitting they are wrong because they are equally terrible at realizing it.

  • RIP Blue, 2012-2020---my big, gentle friend.
Since the rise of talk radio, host would routinely back the "R" running and assume all conservatives would, too.

Many of them did more than that. When it became obvious to everyone except the blind that the
Bush Administration and their concurrent Republican Congress were doing nothing but ramping
up and metastasising big government even further than in the wettest of Droopy Drawers Clinton's
wet dreams, a fair number of rightward talk radio cacklers (including Thrush Limburger himself)
were going into contortions and twists to justify and defend the metastasis to a level that the old
Clinton spin machinists could only envy.

Hence the opening through which His Excellency Al-Hashish Field Marshmallow Dr. Barack Obama
Dada, COD, RIP, LSMFT, Would-Have-Been Life President of the Republic Formerly Known as the
United States could steer. Hence the opening through which Donaldus Minimus could seduce the
right number of primary voters and take over the Republican Party.

That's hilarious.  I especially liked the LSMFT (but I'll bet few folks on the forum remember it).
