Paul Manafort resigns from Trump campaignBy Nolan D. McCaskill08/19/16 10:05 AM EDTPaul Manafort on Friday resigned as Donald Trump's campaign chairman, after the Republican nominee earlier this week announced a new leadership structure for his campaign.“This morning Paul Manafort offered, and I accepted, his resignation from the campaign. I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today, and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process. Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success," Trump said in a statement.http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/paul-manafort-resigns-from-trump-campaign-227197
Good riddance to this establishment slug.
Granting his many faults, Manafort is nevertheless basically sane and at least tried to keep Trump on-track (with limited success). The new team wants to "let Trump be Trump." I can't imagine that's going to turn out well.
To: BratchOh noez whatever will Trump do without the genius who guided President Dole's election. 4 posted on 8/19/2016 9:16:40 AM by Dr.Deth [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 1 | View Replies | Report Abuse]
The knives are out at TOS:
Trump campaign is a bleep clownshow.
A clownshow would be better organized.
I have the feeling that more resignations are coming. People working in the campaign that didn't like and were happy to see Corey Lewandowski go are likely not going to like Bannon. I wonder if Ivanka will be "resigning" soon?
I predicted last night Corey would be back in a month. I was off by three weeks.
@sinkspur Where did you get the novel idea that Lewandowski is coming back to the Trump campaign?
Somewhere, Lewandowski is smiling and plotting against Conway...................I predicted last night Corey would be back in a month. I was off by three weeks.
who said he ever officially left? He is still being paid by Trump.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3689047/CNN-revealing-Lewandowskis-severance-payments.html
