None anymore. We had a whole bunch who could have at the start of the primary, but we threw them all over for a loud-mouthed orange NYC liberal.
Trump was gift wrapped for United States citizens by McConnell, Boehner and Ryan and that ilk. They only opposed the obama agenda when there were no teeth in the opposition. Republican voters tumbled to that, mostly in the last two years.
I agree with Rush these days. Any and all of the original 17 would be a huge improvement over clinton. That said, many of the original 17 were quintessential insiders like Boehner, Ryan and McConnell.
Bush tossed his hat into the ring as a country without borders, common core, global warmist who said at the start he didn't need Republicans to win. So many of the others could rest comfortably in that mold. Some began as also ran asterisks and never improved on that.
I was never a Trump supporter. When he campaigned like a professional wrestler, well, that didn't help. You are likely right saying Trump is a liberal. I keep hoping he is a Kennedy or Humphrey kind of liberal who can stumble onto the right path, sometimes, even by accident. Kennedy was a tax cutter. Humphrey was ardently anti communist and also ardently pro-life.
Humphrey might be able to get nominated by Democrats these days. I doubt it unless he evolved into anti-American like most Democrat leaders are these days.
JFK would have no chance.
If President Trump doesn't hate the United States, that will be an improvement. Who knows? Maybe in Trump, the Republican(???) you might have a President Ryan and McConnell could oppose when it counts. You can add these to your short list of places Trump can help.
There isn't one thing clinton will ever do that will benefit the United States. She sold the office of Secretary of State and made the clintons billionaires in the process. How much will they get when she auctions off the nuclear football?
I just don't think there is any choice but to vote for Trump.
