NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- National Guard soldiers and other officials in boats and helicopters plucked more than 1,000 people from their homes and cars as "unprecedented, historic" flooding swamped Louisiana, the governor said Saturday, warning that the slow-moving storm would dump even more rain and cause further problems.

At least two people were killed when swift-moving water quickly inundated roads and searches were ongoing for missing people.

Where is Obama?  Why hasn't the federal government stepped in?  Doesn't he know black people can't fend for themselves?  Did he get that idea because he is only half black?  Where is the food, National Guard, clothes?  Is he off on one of his multi million dollar vacations while the poor suffer?

Do you think we will read anything like this about Obama as we did Bush during Katrina?  No way!  The media is already getting their spin doctoring on the computers.

Raw video : Woman, Dog Rescued From Sinking Car in Louisiana flooding

Quote
One of the rescuers, David Phung, jumps into the brown water and pulls the woman to safety. She pleads with Phung to get her dog, but he can't find it. After several seconds, Phung takes a deep breath, goes underwater and resurfaces - with the small dog.

I am glad that she and her dog were rescued and what a heroic young man David Phung was to jump in and to risk his life to save her life and then her dog’s, but OTHO and seriously - “Turn Around And Don’t Drown”. It can’t be said enough.

Too many people think they can drive through flood waters in their cars because they think it doesn’t look all that deep nor understand how deep and how swift flash flood waters can be and how a car can be so easily swept away. They not only put their lives in danger but also those who rescue them.

So now accounts are that the flooding is even worse that Katrina.

Where's FEMA?
Where's Shepard Smith?
Where's Kanye saying that "Barack Obama doesn't care about Black People?"

I would LOVE answers to those questions......
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

"Sometimes I think the Church would be better off if we would call a moratorium on activity for about six weeks and just wait on God to see what He is waiting to do for us. That's what they did before Pentecost."   - A. W. Tozer

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.

“I Ain’t No Ways Tired”

How does a capable, hardworking, diligent, smart, tenacious leader relax? Try seven rounds of golf (so far), 5 nights out (Sunday Down Island, Tuesday State Road, Friday L'etoile, Saturday Red Cat Kitchen, Sunday Lola's) and a fundraiser for his heir apparent:

The President said while the first lady is strict about him actually taking a vacation when they are on vacation, he was there because it is “absolutely critical that we have a capable, hardworking, diligent, smart, tenacious leader in the Oval Office.”   ...  MOTUS Mirror
