Did #NeverTrumpers Hear Hillary Clinton’s Frightening Speech?
Hillary is by far the greater threat,
By Dennis Prager — August 2, 2016

My #NeverTrump colleagues and friends make valid points about Donald Trump. I know: I made them myself during the Republican primaries.

But it is vital to understand what happens if Hillary Clinton wins the presidency. This country will be so far from what the Founders wanted, so different from what the #NeverTrumpers have always fought for, that it is almost impossible to see how America would recover from her — or any Democrat’s — victory.

Thanks to the universities’ leftist indoctrination of two generations of Americans, and thanks to Bernie Sanders, the Democratic party is now in all but name a socialist party. In fact, it is actually to the left of many European socialist parties.

For example, if Clinton wins, the government will now tell companies how much they must pay employees: “If you believe that companies should share profits with their workers, not paid executive bonuses, join us,” she brazenly announced.

And if you think that this is unconstitutional, remember that it won’t matter, because she will appoint left-wing Supreme Court justices and left-wing federal judges who do not view their roles as protectors of the Constitution. They view their roles as promoting “social justice,” which has as much to do with justice as “people’s democracy” has to do with democracy.

Prager's fallacy is that because Clinton would be horrible (which is true), Trump must be better.  But suppose (which is likely) that a Trump presidency will be at least as bad, if perhaps in different ways.

To sell Trump as an alternative because "a President Donald Trump could be held in check," is simply to admit that fact.

So we're left hoping for ill health, impeachment, or something equally catastrophic.

We're screwed.

I'm not a never Trumper.  I keep looking for a reason to vote for him (against Hilary)  But every time I think I get there, he opens his mouth again and says something even more outrageous and stupid.  It really doesn't matter how I feel anyway - he is going to alienate enough of the population he will never win.  We will have Queen Hilary this fall.  God help us.

Actually, Hillary will be written a blank check by the media.
Trump will be so badly flogged by the media that people will lose interest. After a while, people get tired of being bombarded with trivial things that have been turned into a crisis. If saying stupid things kept you out of office, Joe Biden would be pumping gas somewhere.

Except there are millions of us, and we oppose craziness, not embrace it.

He must be pressured to step down in favor of Pence.  Buy him off if need be.   But the GOP needs to lock up its crazy uncle.

Lose interest? Burned out is more like it.

In the past few weeks, I have been suspended from TOS...I'm a member of the Class of '98. Additionally, the politics/current events room on the GU Boards, aka The Online Crosby Center, was closed by a decision from the University and the Spokesman Review, who sponsored it. It wasn't that active a board, perhaps two dozen active posters, liberals outnumbered conservatives by roughly 5 to 1. That site had been open for nearly 10 years. Thankfully, that was the only one zapped. It's still a good place to reconnect with alumni, particularly during basketball season. Have I said that it's going to be a great year for the Zags?  lol

A few years ago, I might have shuddered at the thought that those two venues would no longer play an active part in my life.

Today, I feel liberated, being able to move on to new opportunities.

Given our current political situation and the outlook for the Executive and Legislative branches, I'm straining for a vision as to how we are going to turn this battleship around.

My question is, have Prager or any of the other StopHillaryEvenIfItMeansSupportingTrump caucus members listened to Trump's speech? The guy is a dictator in waiting. He'll do this. He'll do that. Such-and-such won't get away with it on my watch!

Eventually one must come to the conclusion that neither is fit for the office.

Trump can say anything but  that doesn't mean he will do it. He won't have that power. He's just telling the sheeple what they want to hear. He's a carnie. He's been on the both sides of every issue. At the very least, he will be entertaining.

Unlike Hillary, he'll give us a Reacharound.

NeverTrumpers are political forums' equivalent of Westboro Baptist.

The Westboro Baptist Church hates America and some of it's citizens for a trait that cannot be changed.

Trump and his supporters think America is weak and depraved... and the only way to save it is to institutionalize bigotry into law.  Codifing Westboro's hatred of people due to traits that cannot be altered into force of law.

I'd say the two are exactly the same thing.  Rage and hatred.

Trump is Trump's biggest problem.

Trumpturds will blame everyone but Trump for his own idiocy.
