I could not bring myself to watch any of the GOP convention, and for sure I am not going to stomach the DNC either. I'm quite sure I will hear all about the outrageous goings on ad infinitum, ad nauseum...
It is a fine night. Super speakers, and ads against Trump that are spot on using Trump's own words/gestures and live speeches of people using his own words against him. He must be on twitter now, having a melt down.
Another great thing they did was have regular people give speeches who were American citizen children of people who came here illegally and disabled people speaking against Trump. Whoever put this convention together, has grabbed the Spanish people and disabled people to vote Democrat - no way are they going to vote Trump.
When I praise this convention it is not because it is the Democrats - it is because it was put together to further their cause and it absolutely does that. Trump's convention was about him - every speech saying how wonderful he is. There was no outreach to regular voters - just how great Trump is (except for the Cruz speech).
This convention tonight stomped Trump over and over and there was outreach to every segment of the population. Bringing in regular people, not politicians, telling their stories was powerful. The disabled girl in the wheelchair did a fine job speaking even though her speech was affected and at least one arm was malformed and she cannot walk. She took that audience in her hands. She was brave to do that.
I will also say the VP pick Tim Kaine seems to be more conservative than Trump (and Kaine isn't crazy).
