FBI has found no evidence that Orlando shooter targeted Pulse because it was a gay club

The FBI has found no evidence so far that Omar Mateen, who killed 49 people and wounded more than 53 at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, chose the popular establishment because of its gay clientele, U.S law enforcement officials said.

“While there can be no denying the significant impact on the gay community, the investigation hasn’t revealed that he targeted Pulse because it was a gay club,” a U.S. law enforcement official said.

Soon after the shooting in the early morning of June 12, top U.S officials such as the FBI director and U.S. attorney general described it as both a hate crime and an act of Islamic terrorism. The shooting rattled the gay community, which felt singled out by Mateen.

He may or may not have targeted the club because of the homosexual factor, but it certainly was a target rich environment.
But the next Islamist killer will probably just throw a gasoline bomb into the crowd or use some other method ala the Nice killer. With the present clueless admin unwilling to address the problem anything is possible.

This is the same agency that could not find any criminality in Hildabeast's handling of top secret documents.

It's not surprising they can't find any evidence that the Jihadist who shot up the gay club targeted it because it was full of homos.

It doesn't fit the narrative being handed to it.

Agree with both comments.

His wife said she thought he was gay.... so, the FBI statement really doesn't hold much water.

If the orders come down, the FBI won't find its ass with both hands and a flashlight.

They only see what they are ordered to look for, and it has been that way since flight 800.

Exactly.  The narrative is and has been from the start that the shooter was a bitter clinging NRA lifer.
