Probably a good thing it is out of vogue.  Can you imagine the Tweets and Emails that would follow after a a few doubles.  Plus I need a nap now.  Oh and Boss..you are a big poopyhead.  :thud:

I cannot ever remember hitting the three-adult-beverage mark at any time back in the bad (good) old days.... but we definitely would enjoy a beer or two with lunch, especially on Fridays or when out with clients.

Then again, we used to be able to smoke cigarettes right at our desks, and most of us did. I also had a boss who used to keep a bottle of Jack Daniels in his desk drawer, which he pulled out on occasion so we could enjoy a shot while talking business.

I'm also guessing that our company picnics were a lot more (a-hem) fun (especially back in the '80s and '90s) than most such affairs are now, governed as they are by legions of restrictions imposed by preternaturally risk-averse HR managers.
"If all men are created equal, that is final. If they are endowed with inalienable rights, that is final. If governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, that is final. No advance, no progress can be made beyond these propositions. If anyone wishes to deny their truth or their soundness, the only direction in which he can proceed historically is not forward, but backward toward the time when there was no equality, no rights of the individual, no rule of the people."    -Calvin Coolidge
