After protesters were caught in a photo —posted on Twitter by an ABC News producer — as they set afire a hat emblazoned with Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” that they snatched off the head of a Trump supporter, WND reported that one of the rioters photographed was an all-too-familiar face. The conservative news outlet claims that the woman pictured to the right of the burning Trump hat was none other than Maile Hamption —the same woman who it profiled two weeks earlier as a professional protester.
It is been reported that Hampton appears to make a living fighting not only against Trump across the country, but for progressive causes across the border, as WND found and posted one photo of the experienced demonstrator rallying people in Mexico as she protested farm workers’ labor conditions.
“Hampton, who goes by the name KwameKahlo on Twitter, is a self-described ‘Marxist Leninist,’” WND’s Katy Grimes contends. “She has been seen and photographed at protests all over California recently, and even in Mexico.”
Numerous appearances at several protests across North America were apparently made by Hampton within a 10-day period.
“She was at one against University of California, Davis, Chancellor Linda Katehi, then two days later appeared in Mexico protesting labor conditions for Mexican farm workers,” Grimes continued. “A week later, she was seen at the California State Capitol on behalf of the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (a former ACORN group), protesting in favor of increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour.”
Paid trouble for Trump?
In an attempt to raise opposition to Trump, political organizers on the Left have been reportedly using every means possible to stir up dissention against the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.
According to WND, anti-Trump protesters conceded that they were recruited through Craigslist ads, where they were promised money for participating in anti-Trump demonstrations. The Washington, D.C.-based news source posted one photo of a March Craigslist ad recruiting protesters to crash a Trump rally in Janesville, Wisconsin, for the price of $15 per hour.
Roger Stone, who is supporting the billionaire’s run for the White House, divulged that those agreeing to protest Trump have received substantial compensation for their negative showings.
“I learned most were from MoveOn or the Occupy movement,” Stone wrote in a piece published in March by the Daily Caller — an account that was corroborated by the previously mentioned Wisconsin Craigslist ad titled “Temporary paid positions to protest Donald Trump rally.” “Several admitted answering a Craigslist ad paying $16 an hour for protesters. [They were] paid for mostly by George Soros and MoveOn.org and pushed by David Brock at Media Matters for America.”
Paid opposition … and violence
Peaceful anti-Trump chants and banners are now being replaced with violent displays more frequently — especially as the 69-year-old businessman gets closer to his anticipated showdown against Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton in November.
“Angry mobs have been showing up at Trump rallies in California, waving Mexican flags, wearing Che Guevara T-shirts, burning American flags, while accusing Trump supporters of racism,” WND’s Grimes informed. “In San Jose, the protest got violent quickly, as cars were smashed, and protesters hurled rocks, bottles, cans and eggs at Trump supporters as they tried to enter the rally. Carrying signs that say ‘Make California Mexico Again,’ they screamed at Trump supporters and called them ‘racists.’”
In preparation for California’s presidential primary this coming Tuesday, Hampton traveled to the Golden State in April, where she was recorded on video participating in an anti-Trump rally in the city of Burlingame. The riotous event — reported by the New York Post as “An angry mob [that] broke through steel barricades and tried to storm a Donald Trump appearance” — included the burning of the American flag, as the raucous protester yelled “Bourgeois media, get the [expletive] out!” at reporters over a loudspeaker.
