In Reagan's day, he would NEVER treat a lady the way Trump did Martinez, no matter what was done as an affront to him.

Reagan was a gentleman and had class - something the King Presumptive does not possess in any capacity.
So she is a victim class and gets a pass? Such a PC argument - Where are the principled conservatives I keep hearing about?

That's why they like him.  I didn't realize that one in every three Conservatives appreciate classless boors.  Where I am from, a man that behaved thusly to a lady would get a sound ass-whooping.  Maybe that's why there are so many Texans that can't stand him.  Behavior such as his is just not acceptable and certainly not something to be admired.
Problem is she was no lady, she  was a politician lobbing bombs. She does not get to attack and then hide behind a skirt. A lady does not do that.

In Regan's day Female governors of his own party did not attack him. She gets no pass because she a female for her outrageous and uncalled for behavior. Conservatives hold adults responsible for their bad acts.

So, what was her "outrageous and uncalled for behavior"
For what I can tell, it was her not showing up for his rally.
Is this truly "outrageous and uncalled for behavior"?

Trump is a vulgar human being who bears grudges.  He's like a nine-year old kid.

This is who the GOP is putting forth to lead the country.

Yes.  When one is the King Presumptive, refusing to attend the prince's rallies so she can genuflect and kiss his ring is outrageous and uncalled for behavior from a sitting governor.

If Martizez had said that about Reagan, I guarantee and promise you he would NEVER have done what Trump did.  NEVER.

Illustrates the MASSIVE divide and difference between what the adoring fans for Trump would like to project onto their King Presumptive - and the reality of Ronald Reagan's gentleman stature, class and morality.

Trump has NONE of that.

For Trumpkins who like to compare Trump to Reagan, can anyone imagine Reagan insulting a female governor the way Trump did?

Of course not. Another way in which Trump is in no way like Reagan.

Reagan was courteous.  Trump is an effing bully.

And John F. Kennedy would run screaming from today's Democrat Party.   And vice versa.

Today's Democrat Party is not Tip O'Neill and Daniel Patrick Moynihan either.

Today's Democrat Party is Domestic Enemy #2...followed only by the Mainstream Media.

Nice diversion.  Your boy trashed a Hispanic female governor who, everybody agrees, has done an admirable job.

And Scott Walker, VP of the RGA, issued a statement defending her.

Put your boy back in his box or he's going to lose even more support.

You have a point.
Trump offends Martinez and then Martinez offends Trump.Trump offends Martinez again.
It means both lack the intestinal fortitude to hold executive office in the USA.
Let's not vote for either, ever again.

If this is how he going to treat even the slightest dissent, I'd feel better if he were the Governor of New Mexico instead of POTUS, but I don't want to wish that on the people of New Mexico.  He is thin-skinned.
IMO, this was just a lash out because she didn't attend his rally.
"Gov. Susana Martinez fires back at Trump, with spokesman saying she will not be "bullied into supporting candidate."  It is what a lot of us have been saying all along

This is how he punishes people when they don't kiss his ring - when he doesn't get what he wants.  His supporters love it, not realizing one day they will be on the receiving end of his anger.  I hope the entire state of New Mexico doesn't vote for him.

Ah yes, there it is for all to see.

Hear that ladies?  If you are a tough lawyer, or other measurable woman and you are deemed tough -  don't expect to be treated like a lady from the likes of Trump or his supporters.

They think you deserve to be treated like just another thug deserving of whatever insult, ridicule or scorn they can fling your way if you upset them.

The era of being a gentlemen is over for that bunch. That is why Trump is winning.  No wonder Trump supports men using women's bathrooms if they think they are a female that day.

Nah.  Ronald Reagan was a democrat,

He left the party in his 40's.

Quote
and pro-choicer

He signed an abortion bill as governor that he later said was one of the biggest mistakes of his life.  He was not a "pro choicer"  stop lying.

Quote
for more than half his life.

He lived 93 years so no...he wasn't all of that "half of his life."  Another falsehood.

Quote
It's what helped make him so good at being a Republican.

What made Reagan a great Republican was he believed in Conservatism.  He'd seed the seeds of Communism being sown in Hollywood and was repulsed by it.  He spent years going on speaking tours...writing Op-Eds engaging in the politics of the party...for DECADES before he became President.

Ronald Reagan didn't just wake up at age 69 and decide he was a Republican and thought he should run for President as a Republican.  From his 40's until his death he lived and breathed Conservatism. He shaped the movement...he helped it grow and he supported it even when everyone else was writing it's obituary...and he reaped the benefits of those decades of dedication by recording the two biggest Presidential victories in the history of the country.

So no the crap you posted above is not what what made Reagan a "good republican".  It wasn't an act for him.  It was in his DNA.  And that is something you and the rest of the Trump worshipers will never ever understand.

Trump isn't worthy of shining Reagan's riding boots.

Don't you find the above statement just a tad ironic after replying

I think you missed the fact that I was replying to this:

Every time a Trump supporter denigrates Reagan and conservatism to defend their support of Trump, it increases my revulsion towards the Trump candidacy.
