We will hold to our principles, not follow a man.

That is what we are loyal to; conservatism. It's no personality cult.

A principled man is to be followed.

Do you not agree?  Or exactly how would you hold to your principles if someone is not leading?
No punishment, in my opinion, is too great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin~  George Washington

It would be disastrous politically for him to endorse Trump, it would show him to be just another politician putting party over principal.

2018 and 2020 are going to be good years for Conservatives no matter who wins in November...

If you want 2018 and 2020 to be "good years" for Conservatives -- then here's where you earn it.

Ted Cruz should not only endorse Donald Trump--enthusiastically--he should also sit with Donald Trump and discuss the conservative's role and position in a Trump administration.  Cruz should then spearhead legislation supporting the conservative position and work with President Trump to get it through Congress.  This would be much needed proof that conservatives can do more than yap and hold grudges.

If Cruz chooses not to do this, then Cruz will have proven himself to be a small man of words only without the guts to fight for them.  If Cruz takes conservatism down this road, you'll be watching conservatism reduced to a grain of sand in 2018 and 2020.

Americans just don't like a quitter and will not support the political spewings of one.  This is Cruz's moment to choose the role he wants conservatives to play in a Trump administration and on the national stage.

We will be watching.

The senator from Alberta can support Mr. Trump, or withhold his support for Mr. Trump.
It's his decision to make, however he chooses.

But I sense that if he doesn't offer at least the appearance of support, it's going to be coming back at him when his time for re-election comes up...

If Trump's performance since becoming Mr Presumptive is any indication of what lies ahead Cruz not endorsing him may turn out to be a stroke of political genius.

More threats.  Listen, if Trump does not publicly apologize to Cruz for trashing his wife, his father, and calling him "Lyin' Ted," then Cruz should refuse ANY kind of endorsement.

In case you hadn't noticed, Trump had no defenders of his insane attack on Judge Curiel, and nobody came to stand with him against Hillary yesterday.  He may have people on his side, but no real allies, other than his pitiful campaign hacks like the shoplifter.

So, Republicans may vote for him, but they're not going to come out publicly for him. Ryan's "endorsement" was as close to a non-endorsement as he could muster. Trump's on his own. And the press has definitely turned against him.

If Trump doesn't start building some relationships (and HE has to go toward others, not expect them to crawl to HIM), he's going to be running a one-man campaign.  And he just doesn't have the draw (what with his continuing insults and degrading attacks on people on his own side) to pull that off.

Most Americans hate his guts, thus his high unfavorables.  Polls right now don't tell the tale. Hillary's leading, and will lead even more when Bernie drops out and most of his people go to her.  Trump should be up eight points after winning the nomination.

Nobody gives a damn if "we will be watching."  Nobody's afraid of you Trumpkins, RIV.  And we will continue to ridicule your cheeto-faced cretin for as long as he's in politics.

stumpy is already crawling back to Gov. Martinez.  She should kick dung in his filthy face,  and tell him to go campaign with his soulmates, bill and hitlery.
