Trump to meet with Kissinger: report
By Jesse Byrnes

Donald Trump is reportedly slated to meet with Henry Kissinger this week as the presumptive GOP presidential nominee looks to burnish his foreign policy bona fides.

Trump will meet with the 92-year-old former secretary of State and national security adviser on Wednesday in New York, according to a report from The Washington Post.
The meeting, according to the newspaper, comes after weeks of phone calls between Trump and Kissinger, who served as an adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.

Trump has reached out to others after outlining his "America first" approach to world affairs during a speech in Washington last month where he derided the "false song of globalism."

Last week, the businessman met with James Baker, who served as secretary of State in the George H.W. Bush administration, during Trump's swing through Washington meeting GOP leaders.

The pair met hours after Baker criticized some of Trump's foreign policy proposals, such as his call to scale down America's involvement in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Henry Kissinger the guy who sold us out to the Middle East.  Good one Donny.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Kissinger will no doubt tweak Trump that he dated Candace Bergen back when Bergen wouldn't give Trump the time of day (and he WANTED it!).

It is somewhat gratifying that the presumptive Republican nominee has decided (under duress) to acquaint himself with American foreign policy ideas.

How did he do that?  He was responsible for d'etente with China.

Old Zbig Breszinski sold out the Middle East under Jimmy Carter when he railroaded the Shah out of Iran.

Next, he plans to meet with Alan Greenspan for tips on how to seduce Andrea Mitchell.

Isn't Henry a card carrying member of the establishment and the godfather of globalism, all the stuff Donny rails against?

I thought Kissinger was advising one of the hopefuls during the primaries, I forget who that was.

Palin met with Kissinger in 2008: http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/foreign-policy/item/1158-sarah-palins-meeting-with-henry-kissinger

A lot of people have met up with him, I wouldn't read too much into this.

Lot's of people didn't make their whole basis for being elected that they were outsiders who were going to clean the place up.
