Yes.  Will be great if Pence came along.

Be great if he could announce Carly and get the Pence endorsement in the same shot.

I'd take the Bobby Knight endorsement over Pence any day.

You might be right about that.

Tells us where we are as a country.

Do you think we can get a 'chair throw' at the Trump rally?

Or two or three!

I propose a cage match.

Ron Artest -v- Bobby Knight

In an 'I quit' cage match.

Bobby gets an unlimited supply of chairs.

Since Bobby is Trump's champion, Trump gets his hair cut if Ron wins....

Will be updating this space in the coming days with updates as potential Cruz delegates are quoted.  Stay tuned...

I think your numbers are right.  Still makes gives Trump a better shot than I thought he'd have, though.

Great minds think alike....

Brings back memories of 'that face'

I doubt Megyn Kelly will be able to help herself....

 :smokin:

Another thought...I wonder if there's a chance that Cruz picking Carly will bait Trump into saying something...less than smart about Carly.  Slamming Carly might be one of those things that can shift the narrative if Trump falls for it.

Carly on Levin's show at the bottom of the hour.

:smokin:   Speak of the devil    :smokin:

I think the Carly pick is significant -- one of his big drawbacks is that he's seen as a stereotypical, Brylcreamed-coiffed conservative from the 1950's.  But guys like that don't pick female running mates, particularly ones that are older, and have the gravitas of Carly.  It plays against the stereotype, which should be a plus.  Whether or not it is enough, though....

At the beginning of the month, I picked her as the ideal running mate for Cruz, and Martinez as the ideal running mate for Trump.  Guess we'll have to wait and see on that.

For those with a sense of humor and old enough to remember, I'm sure it would draw laughter. For butthurt anti-Trumps, it would only make them cry.

No doubt Donald's deep connection to the Roman Coliseum cuts both ways...

She is on now, agreeing with Mark that this is an unorthodox election.

Hey, I'd appreciate an update on that when she appears.  He's not on here until later in the evening.

I really liked her -- when she spoke, you go the feeling of someone who actually studied the issues, considered her words carefully, and was a true professional.  She wasn't my number one choice, but if we were going to pick an outsider, she was the one we should have picked.  One thing that really bothered me on FR was how so many of the guys played the "she's just like a nagging wife" card on her --- usually in much worse language -- which I thought was offensive as hell.  And I'm not a guy easily offended, or anything remotely close to a feminist.  But it was clear that a lot of guys didn't like her because she was a woman, which is absurd when you consider what Maggie Thatcher did for the Brits.

Setup:  Mark brought up the face thing.

Highlight of the interview:

Carly makes the point that Trump attacked Heidi's appearance in the context of the Brussels attack.

Donald may chose to get in the mud again.   :smokin:

You may prove to be a prophet ..

Oops. There's the "butthurt" thingy that demonstrates I should put a poster on ignore!
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

He is not that bad.  Have thick skin for that stuff unless it is directed at you.

Please let me know if you hear delegate reports.  AP reported that Trump has 33 unbound delegates.  That is somewhat less than the 39 / 40 we thought on election night.  Having been googling and binging delegate names to see if they are being quoted in the national press as to their intentions.
