Chandler PD identify suspect in hit-and-run of veteran
    KNXV - Pheonix, AZ

Police have identified the man who ran over an Army vet in the parking lot of  a Chandler, Arizona shopping center last week.

They say 18-year-old Cody Gibson was the man involved in an aggravated assault case that turned into a hit-and-run,  12News reports.

The vet, Steven Richardson, is recovering in ICU at a local hospital. Richardson was reportedly trying to stop a fight between Gibson and an unidentified woman, when Gibson jumped in his car and ran him over.  He suffered severe head trauma — a skull fracture, concussion and short-term memory loss.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in tracking down Gibson. If you know of his whereabouts, you’re being urged to call the Chandler Police Dept.
