McCain Adviser: Cruz Will Pull Upset Win in Arizona
« on: March 20, 2016, 07:36:23 pm »
http://www.newsmax.com/Headline/cruz-upset-trump-arizona/2016/03/19/id/719896/

Ted Cruz will grab an upset win over Donald Trump in Arizona's presidential primary election on Tuesday, as he's the "only candidate with any kind of organization out here," a close confidant of Sen. John McCain predicts.

"They have him positioned to spring the upset," Kurt Davis, a GOP operative in Arizona, told The Hill. "They just have to deliver."

The winner of Tuesday's Arizona primary in the largest winner-take-all state will scoop up all 58 of its delegates, marking a key win as the GOP convention in Cleveland nears. If Trump takes the delegates he'd move closer to securing the nomination, but a loss to Cruz could make a contested convention even more likely.

According to Real Clear Politics, Trump is ahead of Cruz by 13 points in the state's polls, but in Arizona, Republicans on the ground say the race's margin is narrower, and Cruz could pull off the upset.

There have been no polls done since Marco Rubio backed out of the contest, The Hill reports, and earlier polling samples have been small. Further, many voters are expected to decide at the last minute.

Trump and Cruz are both making a late push in Arizona over the weekend, while Ohio Gov. John Kasich is concentrating on Utah. Trump was returning to Arizona Saturday, after speaking in Salt Lake City Friday night.

Cruz, meanwhile, held a press conference at Arizona's southern border Friday and held a rally with former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former GOP contender Carly Fiorina, and Glenn Beck later in the day.

Arizona holds a closed primary, allowing only Republicans to vote, which may also play in Cruz's favor. But Trump is being backed by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and former Gov. Jan Brewer, two powerful figures in the state.
The Republic is lost.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

March 18, Latinpost.com:
Trump: 31
Cruz: 19

That's the most recent poll I could find.

I think the "Arizona blockade" is going to keep Trump's numbers up...

If $63 million in anti-Trump advertising won't do it, maybe the anti-Trumps should spend more. Why bother spending it to defeat the demonrats.

Here is another article on this.

Two big wildcards could UPSET Trump’s big Arizona lead…

Excerpt:

There hasn’t been any polling completed of Arizona since Marco Rubio dropped out of the race, and the overall samples of the state have been small so far. As we reported earlier, 47% of Rubio supporters said they will now get behind Cruz, which may have only been reinforced by indications that the Florida senator is close to endorsing Cruz himself.

Regardless of what happens with Rubio’s supporters, the large number of late deciders in the state — 30% were undecided in the Arizona poll — could make or break Tuesday’s election for either candidate. Some suggest the advantage with late deciders is Cruz.

While Trump has so far run up the score among early voters in several states, Cruz’s get-out-the-vote efforts have helped him close strong. He consistently outperforms the polls and has surprised political watchers by making a race out of contests where Trump entered with a healthy lead.

As the largest remaining winner-take-all contest in the GOP primary, stakes are high in Arizona. If Trump secures it, it gives him one big step forward, while if he falls short, it could increase the likelihood of a contested convention.

Because the Rat donations are the only things that matter when you have a man running for President as a REPUBLICAN.

Oh, Rahm Emanuel.  Would people really vote for a guy with such bad judgment with his money.  Giving to Emanuel to destroy Chicago?  Even the left has dumped Emanuel.  I am just amazed that Trump fans don't look at where he put his money and wonder does this guy have any clue as to what good governing looks like.  Praise for Hillary.  Praise for Obama.  Praise for Rahm Emanuel.  Come on.

He was and is a business man he had to contribute to both. That is how things work in the business world if you want to get things done. Really people your bias against this man is ridiculous.

Excuses, and no.  He praised Hillary.  He praised Obama in his book.  Ask yourself did you ever think that Hillary or Obama were doing a great job?

My latest article (which was posted yesterday) posed the question, "Does Trump Really Think So Poorly of Hillary?"

In the piece, I cite instances over the past decade when Trump has heaped praise upon Hillary. In 2007, Trump told Wolf Blitzer of CNN, “Hillary’s always surrounded herself with very good people. I think Hillary would do a good job.” (Would these good people include Huma Abedin?) Trump would also tell Greta Van Susteren in 2012 while Hillary was still Secretary of State that he thought she was "a terrific woman" and "I think she really works hard and I think she does a good job. I like her."

Lo and behold, Andrew Kaczynski of BuzzFeed discovered a blog post Trump wrote in March 2008 under the auspices of Trump University (now known the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative) heaping yet more praise on Herself. Analyzing the Democrat primary fight between Hillary and Barack Obama, Trump wondered if the two would form "a dream ticket". He also wrote, "I know Hillary and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president.”

How many people out there who want Donald Trump to be the next President of the United States have ever said aloud, "I think Hillary Clinton would make a great president."

But if Trump said he thought Hillary would make a great President because he thought by saying good things about her that he could get "help from her or her husband" then it could also be said that Trump is now saying terrible things about Hillary because he needs help from voters to get him into office. But once in office then Trump won't need anything from the voters until the next election.

Simply put, Donald Trump is nothing more than a con artist. Republican voters ought to be able to see right through him. But you know what one wise Republican said about fooling some of the people all of the time.

No. That isn't how things get done in business. How much money to the Left did Jack Welch give? How about the Koch Bros? Sheldon Adelson?

This nonsense Trump is selling about having to bribe officials with donations to get things done is just a flimsy excuse. He liked the people he gave the money to. He agreed with the people he gave the money to. He praised the people he gave the money to. The only reason he is running as a GOPer is because he knew that 3rd party or Rat runs were not going to be successful.

According to http://www.campaignmoney.com/biography/donald_trump.asp, the last time Trump donated to a democrat was 2010. Libs and anti-Trump propagandists  show little regard for facts. :seeya:

The rats stand for gun control, abortion, high taxes, political correctness, affirmative action, welfare, and amnesty.  THAT IS HOW YOU GET THINGS DONE?

Why does Trump get a pass on supporting that crap with you?

Does it burn when you sell your soul to the devil to make a political point about your frustration?  Just asking for friend who is also Trump-curious.

Although these two donations are no big issue for me, your statement about 2010 and regards for facts seem to be both in error.

2/20/2013   $1,000   HARRIS, KAMALA            CA     Democrat
9/2/2014     $2,500   BENEDETTO, MICHAEL     NY     Democrat

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Vvp_D0rH-8bd8qZr1vWTvaG_2aLr-kWd5wgkbbjKVWo/edit#gid=0

You also seem to ignore the part about  Praise for Hillary.  Praise for Obama.  Praise for Rahm Emanuel. that is a big issue for me and I don't care when that happened as it would never have been acceptable.

From 2008:

"Hillary Clinton said she'd consider naming Barack Obama as her vice-president when she gets the nomination, but she's nowhere near a shoo-in. For his part, Obama said he's just focused on winning the nomination, although at least one member of his team said Clinton would make a good vice-president. (I know Hillary and I think she'd make a great president or vice-president.)," Trump wrote.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-in-2008-hillary-clinton-would-make-a-great-president/

Neither of your two examples show up at the link I provided.

2008 was a long time ago. Trump has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Republicans since then.

I found this rather interesting in regards to Trumps alleged rascism and bigotry. How about you?

Los Angeles (AFP) - California Attorney General Kamala Harris has entered the race for the US Senate, seeking to make history by becoming the first Indian-American and only the second African-American woman senator.
