Zero hydrocarbon use will never happen. Every windmill needs 80 gallons of lubricant so they don't melt down (oil based), Lubricants will be needed for what ever wheels are turning. Backup systems will run on "fossil fuels" and only those using gas turbines can be spooled up fast enough to keep people from freezing to death--provided there is enough gas. Not to mention that some of the country's coldest regions rely on natural gas for heat, not electricity (prohibitively expensive). I could go on and on, but this is enough to indicate the level of delusion, insanity, or ignorance these people have: They have lost their connection with reality, if ever they had one.
You, I, and many other conservatives realizes this. What gets lost in this madness, is that the Envirowhackos and their MSM lackeys have basically taken our long term security hostage with this absurdity. And BTW, it doesn't just apply to lubricants. Hydrocarbon manufacturing touches almost every aspect in our life from asphalt, to jet fuel, tires, all the way to baby bottles.
Getting the likes of AOC to understand science and engineering is hedging disaster. And her likes are leading this effort.
