All you need is a decent ad-blocker add-on for your browser... I use Ublock Origin. I have not seen an ad on youtube since I can't remember when. And they work on more than youtube. They work all over.

If you turn on whatever membership your browser uses, the add-on will propigate to all instances of that browser in all devices.

For instance, my Firefox syncs across all machines, so if I install an add-on in a desktop, that add-on will appear in the FF in my phone and tablet, and every other device.

I don't do internet or email on my phone, just because it'd be notifying me of all sorts of stuff if I did, and I run odd hours so I'd never get any sleep. I know I could turn that noise off, but it might be something important. Pretty limited use outside of family and work. The 'puter gets worked like a rented mule, I have worn the letters off of three keys on this laptop already. I will likely give Ubloc Origin a try, thanks.

I can get a new keyboard for about $20 (or less), so that isn't a problem. As long as this one keeps working, I'll keep using it, and I have a USB one for backup if needed.
