Why Is Mississippi’s First Black Mayor Since Reconstruction Endorsing Trump For President?

There was a discussion on here today as to whether or not blacks would vote for Trump. Here's one who will and he states the reason why he will and why others might.

"There’s one main reason why Mississippi’s Charles Evers is endorsing Donald Trump for president.

“I believe in him first of all because he’s a businessman,” the 93-year-old civil rights activist told The Clarion-Ledger Friday. “I think jobs are badly needed in Mississippi.”

“Our catfish is shipped to China and brought back for us to buy. Put a catfish farm here.”

Additionally, Evers stated he hasn’t “seen any proof of [Trump] being a racist.”

All of us have some racism in us. Even me,” he added before stating — in reference to Trump’s inflammatory positions on immigration –that the United States is not obligated in any capacity to support illegal immigrants.

Evers became Mississippi’s first NAACP field secretary after his younger brother — civil rights leader Medgar Evers — was assassinated in front of the family’s Jackson, MS home in 1963.

He was the first black man to be elected mayor of a Mississippi town since Reconstruction (Fayette, 1969) and gained national notoriety when he switched to the Republican party and endorsed Ronald Reagan in 1980."

Fortunately, more Black Americans are 'shedding their chains' of Democrat enslavement and drawing their own conclusions that after 100 years all the Democrats want them to do is stay on welfare, drugs, abort their children, and roll over and play 'good Democrat' for them.

That is the ONLY good thing about Trump.  I have long wanted the Republican party to work harder for the black vote.  The democrats have gotten away with lies and manipulation for too long.

That said, I am voting for the man who will best protect and defend the Constitution:  Ted Cruz.

I hope Cruz wins and then I hope he works himself silly reaching out to the african-american community.  Many are conservative at heart.  Others could be persuaded of the virtues of limited government.

Their unemployment rate has been north of Saturn for years. Yet they still, on the local and national level vote, almost overwhelmingly, for Democrats. The GOP has chased them like a unicorn after a virgin for decades. And what do they have to show for it? Bupkus. Mayhaps Cruz could try mining the disenfranchised blue collar white voters in the coal belt, the rust belt, and any other belt that comes to mind. The Dems have written them off. It worked for Nixon. It worked for Reagan. And last time I looked, they still outnumbered blacks and Hispanics combined.

It's not just voting for Democrats. Look at the polls in the primary. They're voting en masse for MACHINE Democrats. Sanders is a true believer in socialism; he's offering so much free stuff, and they're still voting like a bloc for Hillary.

That's what makes the population engineering so dangerous. It is a naked power grab by a Democratic Party willing to abandon all principles to ensure it stays in power.

That is one thing that is tied directly to OBAMA. He has done nothing for the Black American except for Obama phones. He really turned his back on Blacks. The good news is what you stated Happy, most not all have woke up to the DEMS keeping them on the Plantation and want to move forward and looking for the opportunity to do so other than EXISTING on the DEM Plantation.
