Fight back against the smearing of conservatism

SPLC:

Quote
“The bulk of that anger is coming from beleaguered working-class and, to a lesser extent, middle-class white people, especially the less educated — the very same groups that most vociferously support Trump,” SPLC says on its website. “They are angry over the coming loss of a white majority (predicted for 2043 by the Census Bureau), the falling fortunes of the white working class, worsening income inequality, the rise of left-wing movements like Black Lives Matter, major advances for LGBT people, growing numbers of refugees and undocumented workers, terrorism, and more.

In its annual scare report, the liberal Southern Poverty Law Center claims that the nation is on the brink of political upheaval due to expanding activity of hate groups emboldened by growing frustration among white working class Americans and stories of financial turmoil, police abuse and conspiracy.

The group seeks to tie white conservative anger to changing societal attitudes about homosexual marriage, the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement and, of course, the nation being under the control of its first black president.

But the SPLC’s rhetoric isn’t aimed at creating a better understanding of what begets isolated hate and violence in the country. It’s meant to do exactly what it seems: That is, to drive any semblance of conservatism out of the mainstream.

In other words, SPLC wants your neighbor, boss, friend or colleague to cringe and automatically see a white hood or a blue sweatshirt and shades when you mention that you follow a conservative political philosophy.

Unfortunately, it’s working. The mainstream media regularly parrot SPLC’s listing of “right wing hate groups” in stories and use the organization as a source for information on racism and intolerance. These articles advance the false meme that all liberty lovers are terrorists and racists who are plotting to march on Washington with guns blazing.

But it’s time for conservatives, small government activists and self-avowed patriots to fight back against the liberal propaganda. Next time you see a story in your local paper which blindly cites SPLC statistics (if you pay attention, you will), send a letter to the editor explaining why you proudly call yourself a conservative and advocate for small government and traditional values. Explain that you are an upstanding member of the community and there are millions more like you all over the nation. Your neighbors will take note— and they’ll make their voices heard as well.

: ideas or statements that are often false or exaggerated and that are spread in order to help a cause, a political leader, a government, etc.

Do you mean like making a corrupt, crony corporatist, who has more liberal positions than Bill Clinton has hookers, who believes in a strong centralized government and rejects individual liberty and property, who has vocalized the use of the word 'force' when it comes to making private businesses and entities bend to his will, and who threatens private citizens for daring to speak out against him?

Yep, this year is definitely the smearing of Conservatism by painting it with a corrupt populist face.

Yes.  Of course.

I mean Mitch McConnell.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell vowed any tea party candidates challenging establishment Republicans in the 2014 midterm elections would not just fail — but fail miserably.

Quote
“I think we are going to crush them everywhere,” he said, The New York Times reported, “I don’t think they are going to have a single nominee anywhere in the country.”

Absolutely. Ironically, when he was saying those things, he was being financed by the guy I mentioned earlier.

McConnell and Trump still doing the same thing in the same tone, crushing Conservatism.
