The global market for military robots will reach $21 billion by 2020, according to a forecast by market research firm ASDReports. This reflects a compound annual growth rate of 9.27 percent from 2015.
Unmanned aerial vehicles will dominate the market, according to the report. In addition, "while the overall market is dominated by the sensors segment, the weapons segment is projected to grow at comparatively the highest [compound annual growth rate] during the forecast period, primarily driven by the increased use of military robots for combat operations."
North America will be the biggest market though Europe will experience the highest growth.
