German authorities are probing whether or not the depraved sex attackers were part of a huge criminal organisation run by illegal immigrants from north Africa.
An investigation by a German newspaper has revealed how Moroccans are flying into Turkey on holiday visas before infiltrating groups of genuine Syrian refugees and making the journey across to Greece.
Many carry out extensive preparations in order to make their eventual asylum applications more convincing, making up elaborate back stories about escaping the clutches of Islamic State (ISIS) and learning the Syrian dialect of Arabic.
A recent video posted online even showed two Moroccan teenagers learning the Syrian national anthem, apparently in preparation for a planned attempt to travel to Europe and claim asylum.
Now claims have emerged that fake asylum seekers from north Africa are even resorting to stealing from genuine refugees after infiltrating shelters whilst working for criminal gangs.
They are also said to be behind the horrific sex attacks in Cologne on New Year’s Eve, during which a gang of 1,000 predominantly migrant men raped and robbed women out celebrating.
German police today revealed the number of criminal complaints filed has risen to 516, with 40 per cent relating to allegations of sexual assault.
Investigators have said that the majority of the perpetrators were of North African and Arabic origin amid growing unease in Germany towards Angela Merkel’s controversial open door immigration policy.
And today an investigation by German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung has claimed that the majority of the attackers were part of a huge gang of Moroccan criminals who have been orchestrating robberies, muggings and sex assaults on the streets of Cologne for the last six months.
It quoted an official police report which expressed alarm at a “sharply rising trend” of crime linked to the group, concluding that “that only 0.5 per cent of Syrian immigrants have committed crimes within a year of arriving, whereas those for the North Africans it is about 40 per cent”.
The report details how gang bosses are targeting Moroccans arriving in Germany and are also actively grooming vulnerable refugees in camps for a life of crime.
It states that an astonishing 1,947 North Africans were suspected of committing some form of crime in Cologne last year….
