Three men found dead in mosque in Turkey’s southeast
« on: January 10, 2016, 12:11:47 pm »
Bodies of three unidentified men have been found at a mosque in the Silopi district of Turkey’s southeastern Şırnak province with the details of the killings remaining unknown, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

Security authorities recovered the bodies of three men in Hazreti Hüseyin Mosque in Silopi’s Şehit Harun Boy neighborhood during a police search inside the neighborhood where militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and security forces clashed.

Although the identities of the victims and the details of how they were killed remain unclear, Turkish police believe the PKK to be behind the murders.

An initial examination revealed the victims were killed five days ago.

The bodies were brought to Şırnak State Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

A curfew has been in effect in Silopi since Dec. 14, 2015, as the government continues aggressive military operations against the PKK.
