Clinton spokesman: Sanders aides got a 'pat on the back' for stealing data

By Lisa Hagen

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton’s spokesman fired off several tweets slamming Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) campaign amid the growing feud over the national party’s voter database.

Brian Fallon tweeted on Friday, “Four users linked to @SenSanders campaign steal data from a rival campaign. Only one is fired. Guess the others get a pat on the back.”

He also tweeted, “If you are so proud of your grassroots organization, you should not need to resort to stealing campaign data.”

The DNC barred the Sanders’s campaign from accessing the party’s voter database, as well as his campaign’s own data, after a breach by a campaign staffer obtaining private data from Clinton's campaign.

The Sanders campaign said it has fired that staffer.

Clinton’s camp addressed the DNC breach in an earlier release, saying: “We were informed that our proprietary data was breached by Sanders campaign staff in 25 searches by four different accounts and that this data was saved into the Sanders' campaign account.”

The release continues, “We are asking that the Sanders campaign and the DNC work expeditiously to ensure that our data is not in the Sanders campaign's account and that the Sanders campaign only have access to their own data.”

Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook will hold a conference call on Friday at 6 p.m. to address the breach.

For Clinton to trash somebody ELSE for a breach of ethics is rich.
