Brussels metro and schools reopen amid continuing terror alert
Belgian capital remains on highest possible security alert as hunt continues for suspects from the Paris attacks

Schools have reopened and some metro services have resumed in Brussels after four days at the highest possible terror alert.
The alert remains at level 4, with two top suspects from the Paris attacks still at large.
Special measures are being taken at primary and secondary schools and universities, with student movements limited around or outside school buildings during the day.
Belgian authorities set the city on maximum alert overnight on Friday amid warnings of an imminent security threat. More than 1,000 security personnel and soldiers have been deployed.
“I had decided to not bring my kids in school this morning, but changed my mind late last night. Life must go on,” said a 47-year-old father who drove his two daughters to school.
“Thank goodness we only have a half day today,” said Marc, 14, as he boarded a school bus, adding that he fully enjoyed the two extra days off from school.
Underground transport in Brussels is also slowly starting up again after a four-day closure. Sections of the main metro are in operation, but services are not running to outlying suburbs.
