A bald eagle was seen "hanging out" in an H&R Block in Virginia Beach after breaking through a window of the building.

Ali Weatherton, a reporter for local news station WVEC, posted a video of the unsuspecting eagle perched on the window of the building.

Bald eagles sightings were rare in the past, as the birds of prey were at the verge of extinction due to habitat destruction, illegal shooting, and food source contamination, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Beaches are closed on Maui after a 10- to 12-foot tiger shark bit a paddleboard Monday, throwing a 57-year-old man into the ocean, the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources says in a release.

Then this, translated. It might not make news here but this sounds absolutely terrible near the island of Guadalupe.  Apparently, there is film of this, "GRAPHIC" photos at link, so a disclaimer, yes, the shark bled to death. This is their nature, I'm very sorry this tragedy happened.

Reporter Alex Bozarjian from WSAV-TV was on air with joggers as they ran past her at the Savannah Bridge Run 10K Saturday, when a man in a hat and sunglasses appeared to smack her as he ran past, video shows.

Bozarjian appeared stunned before composing herself and continuing her broadcast. She later tweeted:

Wobschall had surgery on her wrist. She died four months later, from other causes. ...

It looks like livestock production is contributing to climate change and we need to hit “peak meat” by 2030 to avoid an “ecological disaster.” At least, that’s the idea CBS News is touting from “scientists.”

In a bizarre Dec. 12 article headlined “World must hit ‘peak meat’ by 2030 to avoid climate crisis, scientists say,” CBS News reported that “in a letter published in the Lancet Planetary Health, more than 50 scientists recommend setting 2030 as the peak year for meat consumption, after which it needs to drop dramatically.”

Stranger still, CBS summarized the letter’s claims in the beginning paragraph, suggesting, “With livestock production contributing to climate change, people need to drastically reduce how much meat they eat to help stave off ecological disaster, a group of scientists warn.”

So, does this mean we all need to become vegans now?

A newly unsealed criminal indictment says a North Carolina man who posted photos on social media of himself posing with stacks of cash is now facing theft, embezzlement and fraud charges.

Henderson is accused of stealing more than $88,000 from a vault at a Charlotte bank where he worked, the release says.

News outlets, including the Charlotte Observer, have published photos that reportedly show Henderson posing with large sums of cash. The release says Henderson posted photos of himself holding stacks of cash in July and August.

He allegedly took tens-of-thousands of dollars in cash over the course of 18 or more occasions this year and used some of the money as a $20,000 cash down payment on a 2019 Mercedes-Benz.

A Georgia man is facing charges after a tire flew off his truck and hit the head of a woman who was walking her dog — killing her in a “freak accident,” authorities said.

Brian Seth Carmichael, 25, of Fort Valley, was driving his 2003 Dodge Ram pickup late Sunday when one of its tires somehow got loose and shot 400 yards from an overhead bridge into a trailer park below, Houston County Sheriff’s Lt. Kent Bankston told The Post.

The tire struck Kimberly Touchton, 22, who was walking her dog at the time near Georgia State Route 49 and Highway 11. She was likely unaware what hit her, Bankston said.

“It severed her spine,” Bankston said. “It broke her neck and although they did attempt life-saving measures out there on the scene, she was dead when they got to the hospital. I don’t think she even knew what hit her.” ...

There's details but the headline is basically the story, those who killed apparently did not even know who the groom was.  Pointless violence barring any unforeseen details that show this was more than about crashing a party.

Sounds like a classic 'mob hit' from the 50s.
The attackers may not have known the groom, but likely somebody who sent them there did.
I would guess that there is a deeper side to this story.
The story seems too stupid and too random to be completely random.
