Benjamin Netanyahu updates us on how the Iran deal has now gotten even worse

In case you’ve stopped paying attention, as it’s hard to follow complete absurdity over the long haul, tomorrow is the deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran - and we’re nowhere close to getting one. So, no deal, right? After all, a deadline is a deadline, right?
Of course not, sillies. This deadline is as meaningless as any of Obama’s other red lines. The deadline will be extended, a deal will be reached, it will be horrible, and it will help the Iranians along in the process of developing nuclear weapons. We’ve already conceded the point on site inspections. We’ve already caved on sanctions. We’ve already wimped out on their support of terrorism. And the one western leader who still sees this issue clearly is, of course, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who laid it out over the weekend:
“We are now witnessing a stark retreat from the red lines that the world powers set themselves only recently and publicly,” Netanyahu told ministers at the weekly cabinet meeting in Jerusalem.
Netanyahu added that there was no reason to hurry to sign the deal with Iran, which he said was “getting worse by the day.” He said that it was still not too late to insist on the demands that would prevent Iran from arming itself with a nuclear weapon and gain mass sums of money which he claimed would help it expand its regional aggressions.

Netanyahu told ministers that in a U.S. State Department report released a few days ago, Iran was listed at the top of the world’s human rights violators. “All claims made within the international community about how [Hassan] Rohani’s election [as president] changed the character of the Iranian regime are firmly answered by this report,” Netanyahu said.
He added that another State Department report, also released a few days ago, proved that Iran was escalating its involvement in terror activities. “Despite these reports, the talks are continuing as usual,” Netanyahu said. “There are no demands being made by the powers to change Iran’s behavior, and they are completely ignoring its violations.”
If you’re one of those who buys into the idea that this would be some sort of “historic” agreement, and you’re irritated by Netanyahu’s continued criticism of it, you might want to keep in mind that when Iran supports terrorism, it’s usually Israel that’s the target of it. Why is that relevant to the negotiation of a deal concerning Iran’s nuclear ambitions? Oh, I don’t know, maybe Netanyahu sees a connection between Iran’s support of terrorism and the capabilities of the weapons it has at its disposal. Maybe Obama and Kerry should too.
Then again, in order for that to be relevant to the process, they would have to give a rip about whether Iran supports terrorism at Israel’s expense. They obviously don’t. Obama and Kerry think the United States never had the moral standing to impose sanctions against nations like Iran and Cuba, and they think their historic role is to end such moral preening and bring these nations back into the mainstream of the world community - because they never deserved to be out of it. It was only America’s inflated sense of moral superiority that made them outcasts in the first place.
So they will finalize this deal, no matter how long they have to extend the deadline, and no matter how many more concessions they have to make. They will throw our ally Israel - which they hate anyway - under the exploding bus in the process. They just don’t care.
