White is whatever someone wants it to be, however the media decide to define it.

 I remember Tiger Woods' early years on the PGA tour, where he breathlessly was described as the only touring pro of color. Vijay Singh - whose skin hue is at least a dark as Woods' - must have been thinking, "What am I, chopped liver?"
