I seldom praise President Obama--and for good reason: I seldom agree with him.
In this instance, however, I want to give kudos to the man, for his posthumously awarding the Medal of Honor to two WWI heroes, who did not previously get the recognition they deserved.
And the president was correct in his statement that anti-Semitism and racism prevented Jewish Americans and black Americans from being recognized, almost 100 years ago.
Note: I certainly do not recommend that people should feel sorry for themselves, as part of a Victim Class. But there is no denying that anti-Semitism and racism were very much alive and well at the time.
