CNN's Jake Tapper, who has a history of supporting veterans and a resume showing work for Democrats before landing on the cable network, slammed Democrats for posting a Memorial Day tweet of an ice cream-eating President Barack Obama.

The party's tweet, posted Friday,  Simply said "Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone!" and showed Obama eating ice cream while the press corps took his picture, rather than using the space to remember the sacrifices of military members who lost their lives.

Tapper, who before joining CNN was a press secretary for Chelsea Clinton's mother-in-law, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, when she served as a Democrat in the House of Representatives, points out the conservative blog American Thinker.

Tapper also had appeared on a list of speakers for a Clinton Global Initiative event scheduled for June 8-10 in Denver, reports USA Today, but after the publication asked CNN about the event, Tapper's name was removed from the Clinton Foundation website.

But Tapper has a history of supporting veterans as well, and was quick to slam the Democrats for their non-patriotic, beginning-of-summer Memorial Day tweet:

To Obama and to his sycophantic media, positively everything is about Obama.

If North Korea has a similar national holiday at the dawning of the summer solstice, I would fully expect to see an equivalent picture of Dear Leader, the Emperor of Ice Cream.
