Media Mentions Color of Muslim Airport Attacker’s Car, Not Her Religion

The US news coverage about Julissa Magdalena Maradiaga-Iscoa’s attack leaves out one rather important detail that the Spanish language outlets cover; her religion.

A 33-year-old Honduran woman accused of crashing her vehicle into a police patrol car at Miami International Airport and screaming that she had a bomb has been denied bond, NBC6.com reported Friday.

The Miami Herald reports that bomb-sniffing dogs turned up nothing after the incident Thursday afternoon at the airport.

A criminal complaint says Julissa Magdalena Maradiaga-Iscoa faces a federal charge of making a bomb threat in a public place.

The complaint says Maradiaga-Iscoa was driving a silver Toyota when she turned and headed toward the airport entrance, crashing into the patrol car. Police say she screamed at officers about a bomb in what they believed was Arabic, then English.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock says there appears to be no connection to terrorism, and there were no injuries.

And yes she’s an illegal alien.

Why might we think that Julissa might have a connection to terrorism? Don’t ask CBS. Major media outlets decided that the color of her car, silver, was important. Her religion, Islam, wasn’t.

Identificada como Julissa Magdalena Maradiaga Iscoa (33), lucía el hiyab que es un código de vestimenta femenina islámica.

And they don’t even mention her car color. But they do mention her Facebook page where she describes herself as a Shaheed,  martyr.

According to her sister, she converted four years ago and is pregnant by an Arab. She also claims she’s mentally ill. Her likes include ICNA and terror apologist Zakir Naik who said “Every Muslim should be a terrorist.”

Not at all newsworthy. Let’s discuss the color of her car some more.
