A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was killed and others were injured in a machete attack outside a pub.

Police said the 19-year-old, named locally as Zac Evans, died after the attack outside the Pike and Musket pub in Tuffley, Gloucester.

His mother, Slyv Evans, paid tribute to her "wonderful son" on Facebook.

She wrote: "Rest in peace Zac. Words cannot describe how heartbroken we are.

"A wonderful son, brother, Grandson, boyfriend and friend. You will be greatly missed. A hole in my heart cannot be filled.

"I love you Sparky. Rest in peace my beautiful son".

Two other men, aged 18 and 22, were also assaulted by the man wielding a machete during the attack at around 12.40 on Saturday morning, according to detectives.

The 22- year-old man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries, where he underwent surgery and is now in a stable condition.

The third victim escaped with minor injuries.
