Report: EPA Used Children As Guinea Pigs In Dangerous Experiments, Violated Nuremberg Code

By Robert Gehl, January 21, 2015.

The Environmental Protection Agency has been conducting experiments on children as young as 10 years old without disclosing the health risks, in direct violation of state and federal laws and the Nuremberg Code.

Through Freedom of Information requests, the watchdog group JunkScience.com has discovered the EPA paid California universities to spray diesel exhaust into the noses of children without disclosing the cancer-causing health hazards, in direct violation of numerous laws designed to protect people from harm in experiments.

Parents of children who participated in the study were paid $160 for the eight-week “tests” where diesel exhaust was sprayed directly into the noses of children aged 10-15. While both the parents and children signed consent forms for the experiments, the forms stated there were no health dangers from the tests when in fact both the EPA and the State of California stated there is “no safe exposure” to cancer.

In the documents obtained by JunkScience.com, the EPA deliberately withheld their previous conclusion about the dangers of diesel exhaust from children and their parents. The Daily Caller reports:

“The only way EPA, USC and UCLA are not guilty of illegal experimentation is if EPA and [California] had wildly exaggerated the dangers of diesel exhaust,” said Craig Rucker, president of Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, a conservative group that released the documents alongside EELI.

“But in that case, the two regulators have then been grossly misleading the public and Congress in order to issue scientifically unsupported and costly regulations,” Rucker said.

“If EPA and CARB have not lied about the science, then the EPA and the researchers conducted flatly illegal experiments and lied to the children and other human subjects involved in the experiments,” writes JunkScience.com. “In this case, the institutions and individuals involved should be investigated, and subject to civil and criminal liability as prescribed by law.”

About a year ago, the EPA was caught doing essentially the same thing – exposing people to dangerous pollutants – to justify stricter clean-air standards.

From JunkScience.com:

Given this context, the conduct of the EPA, USC, UCLA and researchers in intentionally exposing children as young as 10 years old without informed consent to a deadly substance is quite clearly illegal, not to mention heinous and barbaric. That the EPA and USC apparently attempted to conceal these facts from the public once they were discovered underscores the criminality of the conduct. The only defense the EPA has to these charges would be admissions that its and the CARB’s pronouncements on the lethality and toxicity of diesel exhaust and PM2.5 are not true.

In essence, EPA and CARB have been caught lying to someone about something. If they have lied to the public and Congress about the toxicity of diesel exhaust and PM2.5, then two things should happen:
•All regulatory programs relying on the false science should be reviewed and amended to reflect what the science actually shows; and
•An investigation of how this false science came to pass should be undertaken by an independent prosecutor.

If EPA and CARB have not lied about the science, then the EPA and the researchers conducted flatly illegal experiments and lied to the children and other human subjects involved in the experiments. In this case, the institutions and individuals involved should be investigated, and subject to civil and criminal liability as prescribed by law.

The Nuremberg Code were a set of principles adopted by countries to protect human experiment subjects after the Nazi atrocities of World War II.
