Moron Alert: CNN Religion Editor Ties Charlie Hebdo Attack To Ferguson

By V. Saxena, January 16, 2015.

Why do large swaths of the black community participate in so much crime? Because “the man” mistreats them. And why did Islamic radicals commit a terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo last week? Because the citizens of France mistreat Muslims.

. . . or so says CNN religion editor Daniel Burke, reports the Media Research Center:

I think it – it’s kind of like what we saw in Ferguson – that this was, kind of, a – in some way, the tinder that lit the spark – but the embers were already burning. There is a prevailing feeling in France, among many Muslims, that they are not treated as part of the state at large. France has a very proud – a very long secular history, and it’s not always done the best of – kind of, integrating any of its religious minorities – French Muslims included.

And so, there’s a feeling there that Muslims may be bullied – that they may be pushed to the side.

Unfortunately, his premise contains about as much truth as a piece of fiction. Let us first backtrack a bit and take a look at the situation over in Ferguson. The city chose to “abolish fines, forgive traffic citations and void arrest warrants” because its black citizens complained about being unfairly targeted. Does this sound like a city that mistreats it minority residents?

Likewise, France bends over backwards on behalf of its Muslim population. As a reminder, the nation contains a whopping 750 no-go zones that function off Sharia law. Furthermore, France reportedly “has the largest Muslim population in the European Union.”

Here’s my question: Given this information, doesn’t it sounds like Daniel Burke is attempting to excuse ‘Islamic criminality’ with the same sort of arguments that “Black Lives Matter” protesters use to excuse black criminality.
