If the issue is loud enough, the next thing you will see on TV will be shameful profiteers such as Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, who are always busy rubbing salt in the wounds of old racial tensions.
But not everyone buys into the victimhood mentality. Watch (above) as Apollos Hester, a running back from East View High School in Georgwtown, Texas, presents a can-do, positive attitude about just how his team came back against all odds to defeat Vandergrift.
At no point does he discuss race, or carry a chip on his shoulder about how life treated him. He is tough, happy, and gives thanks to God.
You will walk away from this interview motivated and excited for life. As the TV anchor put it, this belongs in “the interview hall of fame.”
