Our very dear friend and advisor here, Queen is in ICU and very sick. Please keep her and her family in your prayers!
They need them desperately.

She was also Krodg on FR for the newer people here.

Queen update.....

My mom passed away at 11:29 last night. Her cirrhosis was in an advanced stage and she was in septic shock when she got to the hospital. Her kidneys did finally fail and they began dialysis. Unfortunately it was too late. Soon after starting dialysis, her spleen also failed, leaving us with no hope of her recovery. She was beginning to have more and more pain, so my dad and I decided we needed to take her off life support. Mom was not in pain when she left us, and was surrounded by family as she took that last breath. My sister tried to make it home, but she got to the hospital about 2 hours too late. Please don't tag mom in any post you may put out a we have not yet reached all of our family yet. I appreciate your prayers on her behalf, but I know that she is pain free with her Savoir.

Yes, that can be a prayer, and I'll not apologize for it. Queen was a total class act - a loving person - and someone who welcomed people in and made them feel at home.

Confession time now. When I joined here, I was in the middle of a severe bout of PTSD. She was kind, calm and slapped me hard if I rated it. She knew. Repub knew. Don't think anyone else did.

When Queen found out about my situation with two very ill parents, she private mailed me with kind words of support. It helped, and I will never forget that. She was a good person.

I never got to know Queen, but was always fascinated with her avatar. I equated her with it, and from your stories, rightly so. Prayers for her and her family.

Rest in peace my friend

I first met Queen on FR. She was Krodg there. We had a few words and didn't like each other at all. When she applied to join Wide Awakes, I thought about it for a minute then approved her. We have been friends ever since. She would pray with anyone who needed her and she seemed to have a strong connection to God as her prayers seemed to always work, for me anyways.

She will be missed, but I know she is now at peace.

Thanks to those who donated on the flowers.
We called a local florist near the funeral home instead of using teleflora type places.

This is what we ordered. It is larger than it appears in the picture. There are 18 large flowers and a Dove on the top.
