I was born on an island in the Mediterranean and am both exhilarated and depressed by a northeast winter.

Looking forward to moving to a warmer climate. Any suggestions? Must be retiree friendly.

I've lived in mountain foothills, big cities, on farmland, and in small towns. I'm thinking coastal or desert  now.

Well, I'm looking at the longer range forecast, and it looks—LOOKS— like March is going to be much better than February. The constant barrage of polar air that seems to have taken root this month appears ready to break down just in time for the end of the month (and it was only a matter of time; the sun has to heat up that air eventually).
