I read Hillbilly Legacy.  I feel let down. His Granny would too.
I read it also.

His next book will flop

And that matters how?  JD was 4.

Seriously, Hoodie, this ⬆️ is your response to this ⬇️  ---- have you no comment on what Goldwater had to say about Israel's influence?

Speaking of conservatives ----  Could JD be a student of Barry Goldwater?   :pondering:

Is VP Vance the Front Man in a Coup D’état?

Ah, no.  Hell no.

Never.  The MAGA movement has been and remains characterized by America First ---- her interests above all others.  Pro-Israel (or any nation) means support without compromising US values, draining our Treasury and military, spilling American blood, or becoming the proxy for exhausted warmongers.

In 1988?  No.  It has zero relevance to what is happening now.

Nonsense ... Goldwater's comments show how long conservative leaders have been aware of and disturbed by Israel's control over the US Congress and influence on the American people.

And, the influence and control have only grown since 1988.  Don't believe it?  Just play the tapes of Netanyahu's 2015 speech in front of the full US Congress petitioning our elected officials to vote against their sitting President ---  and the tapes from the parade of candidates' annual pilgrimages to AIPAC to promise unconditional support and secure a hefty contribution.

What Goldwater was concerned about years ago is now influence and control on steroids.

What Goldwater was concerned about then, JD Vance is concerned about now.

A.  Why is it "worrisome" that Israel is doing what every other country in the world is doing?  Why single out Israel?

B.  Isn't this an indictment of Congress since they are the ones being influenced?

C.  What does any of this have to do with Vance's ineptitude when it comes to matters of diplomacy?

So, the conjecture, about Netanyahu hoodwinking Trump into this "situation" with Iran, is true?

Every nitwit aggressor that starts a war thinks it will be quick , decisive, and easy peasy.  That's why Congress, and not the President, has the power to declare war.

If the Administration didn't perform due diligence before risking American lives, treasury, and economy, that's on them, not the Joos.

For those here who consistently attempt to have it both ways, that would depend on whether in #AlwaysTrump mode or #NeverIsrael mode.

For Israel, controlling the United States is a generations-long obsession  -----  one that under Netanyahu's long tenure has been draining our treasure and military arsenal, exploiting our global political clout and now spilling our blood.

The administration was in the midst of a thorough vetting of what Netanyahu and Mossad presented on Feb 11 ---- initial feedback from those attending included words like "farcical" and "bullshit".  Netanyahu aborted this vetting when he called the President and told him he's going to start bombing.

If Netanyahu wants to be the Yosemite Sam of the Middle East, America doesn't have to go along with him.

America is a sovereign nation.

Americans did not elect Netanyahu.

If the Republicans in the White House don't have the stones to tell Netanyahu to pound sand, it was a mistake to elect them.

Does Israel have any more influence than the Chi-coms?  OPEC nations?

This is a great question --- and deserves a thorough vetting ---- not in comparison to Israel, but solely to assess the degree and impact of China's and OPEC's efforts to influence and control.

Other great questions would be:  is support of China and OPEC draining our treasure and military arsenal, are they exploiting our political clout on the global stage  ---- and is American blood being spilled for them?

But, I agree .. let's thoroughly vet the Chicom and OPEC control and influence of our Congress and prople, too.

I agree.  But, how do we do this when Netanyahu and team will chant "anti-Semite" and "blood libel" ad nauseam through their massive PR megaphone?  It's quite an effective --- albeit dirty --- way to shut down any dissent from the status quo .  (This, BTW, is a serious question.). Thanks.

If Netanyahu wants to be the Yosemite Sam of the Middle East, America doesn't have to go along with him.

In this case, Netanyahu forced the President's hand by putting US military bases in the direct path of a retaliatory strike in response to Netanyahu's Yosemite Sam act.  Netanyahu knew Trump would not let that happen without protecting his troops.    Hence, Netanyahu's war for Iranian regime change began with us in it.

We shouldn't have bases in the region to begin with.

If we want to have a strategic presence in the region, the island of Socotra off the Yemen and the Horn of Africa is a better location for American bases.

Osama bin Laden conducted 9/11 and other terrorist attacks because of the presence of US military bases in Saudi Arabia after the First Gulf War.

We don't need their oil.  They were British "mandates" and "protectorates" after WWI.  If they can buy the game of golf, they can afford to defend themselves or have India do it.

This war in Iran, and that's exactly what it is, will not end the way any of us would like to see. It doesn't matter what Israel is or is not doing, no matter what JD Vance is saying or not saying. If anyone has read Exekiel 38 & 39, we will know exactly finally destroys Iran. It will not be the USA, it will not be Israel, it will be God Almighty himself will be the destroyer of Islam.
God Almighty has had 47 years to destroy Iran. He seems perfectly content with destroying our country as punishment for the current generations going astray and letting the abusive heretics have their way in this lifetime. By the time Iran falls, the whole world will likely have gone with it.

As for whether or not Vance goes down the same trail as Benedict Pence, well, we'll see what happens. But I will tell you this, if he does, the GOP will likely be an absolute disaster in 2028, if not 2026 as well. There will be no singular message or platform. I dare say both parties will be in disarray, and the country will be in one heck of a mess.
Which is exactly why I still say Don Jr. is the frontrunner for the 2028 GOP nomination. We might well hate it. But he has the Donald Trump name, which is exactly what the voters wanted, and nothing more. He can make the strongest case that only he can hold the Trump coalition together.

Utter nonsense.

Which is why it's time for a nationsl debate on Israel's role in and access to our government, political campaigns and airways.

A national debate?  How many times have we heard those same words coming from Democrats.  You can't even formulate a debate here.  What makes you think others would take up such a meritless endeavor?  So desperate are you to slam Bibi that you make up stuff incessantly.  We talk about Vance, you slam Bibi.  We talk about Iran, you slam Bibi.  Trump kills Khamenei, you slam Bibi.  You're a broken record.  And now you regurgitate DNC talking points?  Please.

But hey, here's a national debate for you.  I'm sure you could get on board with this:  https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20231030-we-need-a-national-debate-about-hamas/

Because everyone knows what innocent persecuted choirboys Hamas members are.

That you simply accept Vance is "inept" because he hit a raw Netanyahu nerve .  .  .

Uh, no.  That's not at all what I said.  You are the only one bringing Netanyahu into this.  (See:  Moving the goal posts).

Proof based on a premise that doesn't exist?  Wow, you are quite the obsessive type.  Bibi is living in a royal castle rent free in your head.

Media foot soldiers?  Is this like 'the Jews control the media' schtick that was mentioned in Mein Kampf?

Israel started bombing Iran in June of 2025, eight months before your Maggie Haberman book promotion story in the NY Times.  This has been pointed out to you before.  Yet you simply don't care about any truth that gets in the way of the bullshit lies you post.

Again, Bibi provided a four-point assessment.  Trump rejected two of the four.  Yet you keep making the case that Trump was misled (even though your own NY Times source says he was not).  This right here is why no one here gives a shit what you say.  Because you lie.  Again and again you lie.  And here you are again with the same dishonest talking points that have already been soundly refuted by the very link you provided.

Oh, and about those two points that were rejected?  If Trump had given them credence, then we wouldn't have wasted all this time with all this ceasefire bullshit, and the mullahs might be gone by now.  Kuschner, Wittkoff, Vance, et al said we should trust the IRGC POS and allow them time to dig out missiles and collect intelligence from Russia and China to strike back at us.

Have you noticed who isn't getting attacked by IRGC missiles right now?  Israel.  Looks like they had it right all along.

74 Times President Trump Has Made Clear That Iran Cannot Have a Nuclear Weapon

The White House  |  March 2, 2026

President Donald J. Trump has been unequivocal and consistent for decades: Iran will never be permitted to obtain a nuclear weapon. [/b]  This position — rooted in longstanding, bipartisan American policy — guides his actions to ensure the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism cannot threaten the world with nuclear devastation.

  • “After Midnight Hammer, they were warned to make no future attempts to rebuild their weapons program, and in particular nuclear weapons, yet they continue. They’re starting it all over… One thing is certain: I will never allow the world’s number one sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon.” (2/24/26)

  • “They can’t have nuclear weapons. It’s very simple. You can’t have peace in the Middle East if they have a nuclear weapon. And they can’t have a nuclear weapon, and they’ve been told that very strongly.” (2/19/26)  .  .  .

God also operates on His own calendar.  47 years is the blink of His eye.

I call that the 'Relativism of G-d'.  When we were kids and our parents grounded us for a day, we thought that was the end of the world.  A whole day?  That's eternity.  Now that were pushing 60 or 70, birthdays are flying by as if they were nothing.  Now put that in G-d's perspective.

Osama bin Laden conducted 9/11 and other terrorist attacks because of the presence of US military bases in Saudi Arabia after the First Gulf War.

So, it's our fault that Osama attacked us?

God Almighty has had 47 years to destroy Iran. He seems perfectly content with destroying our country as punishment for the current generations going astray and letting the abusive heretics have their way in this lifetime. By the time Iran falls, the whole world will likely have gone with it.
Which is exactly why I still say Don Jr. is the frontrunner for the 2028 GOP nomination. We might well hate it. But he has the Donald Trump name, which is exactly what the voters wanted, and nothing more. He can make the strongest case that only he can hold the Trump coalition together.

Don Jr.??  Doubtful.  He hasn't been an integral part of his father's administration.

Why are you omitting the obvious likely nominees like Rubio and DeSantis??  Vance also still has quite a shot at the presidency; just because some of us in here aren't too fond of him, doesn't negate his chances as being the nominee.

Vance, Rubio and DeSantis are more likely to be the nominees over Jr.

We are getting ahead of ourselves as the mid terms haven't even taken place.

Easy: they're not named Trump.

The Dilley Memers and Trumpland sycophants still hate DeSantis. Rubio ran eight years ago and lost that time, too.

Now, granted, everything I've seen suggests Eric Trump is probably going to be the one who runs. He's been the one making the most noise and hints about it. But the Trump brand is about two things: ego, and family. The Trump Organization is a family business. And if Trump is not going to go quietly into that good night, he's going to turn to the ones who he knows he can trust to do as he says: his own flesh and blood. That also keeps that Trump name in the spotlight, which anyone who's watched his presidency and his efforts to slap his name, image and likeness on everything from U.S. coinage to the Kennedy Center knows is what he really wants.

Granted Trump wants to leave a legacy and it's not just about the presidency but the Trump 'dynasty'.  Perhaps Jr. or Eric will run, but Trump and his family are despised by many and IF the economy doesn't get a boost and we're still at war, I just don't see either of them becoming the nominee. IMO IF anyone is going to be vying for the presidency it's going to be Barron (when he's of age).  He also has the inherit ability to connect with people -- I've watched him and his personality is much like his father's.

Netanyahu isn't to blame here.  Trump campaigned on this.  No one forced his hand.  This was part of his platform.  You knew this on election day

74 Times President Trump Has Made Clear That Iran Cannot Have a Nuclear Weapon

The war that began in Feb 2026 was not about Iran's nuclear capabilities ---- that short, successful military action was in June 2025.

The second military action eight months later beginning in Feb 2026 -- the war we're fighting now -- is Netanyahu's war for regime change in Iran --- something Trump was always against.

The Netanyahu/Mossad presentation in the WH Situation Room on Feb 11 was not about nuclear capabilities or locations, they presented "evidence" to support:

°  Iran's greatly diminished military capabilities, including their inability to threaten the Strait of Hormuz
°  a military undertaking that would last week's, at most
°  the Kurds' willingness to join the Iranian dissidents and overthrow the Mullahs
°. a slide show with proposed replacement leaders in Iran

Some of the American attendees at the meeting called the Israeli presentation "farcical" and "bullshit" ---- prompting a thorough vetting by US intelligence agencies and assets.   The review was cut short by Netanyahu's decision to bomb Iran forcing Trump to act in defense of US troops in the region.

But, Trump knew Netanyahu was full of sh!t, he knew.  I do give him credit for getting through the dinner that followed ----

I fault Trump for not standing up and saying "no" to Netanyahu's wet dream. ---  and even more for allowing Netanyahu to hitch his wagon to our star and drag us deeper into his Middle East cesspool.

Nothing. I meant to refer to the post above the one I posted as a quote:

Yes, I figured that out.  I was simply highlighting your mistake.  8888forgot

Poor little Tumpy! He couldn't help it!

What a crock of crap :silly: :silly: :silly:

Your argument is with Rubio, not me @roamer_1

Listen to Rubio answer the "why now" question:  (link to video below)

The second military action eight months later beginning in Feb 2026 -- the war we're fighting now -- is Netanyahu's war for regime change in Iran --- something Trump was always against.

President Trump - 19 Feb 2026:
“They can’t have nuclear weapons. It’s very simple. You can’t have peace in the Middle East if they have a nuclear weapon. And they can’t have a nuclear weapon, and they’ve been told that very strongly.”

President Trump - 24 Feb 2026:
“After Midnight Hammer, they were warned to make no future attempts to rebuild their weapons program, and in particular nuclear weapons, yet they continue. They’re starting it all over… One thing is certain: I will never allow the world’s number one sponsor of terror, which they are by far, to have a nuclear weapon.”

The sad part is that you posted your claim above AFTER these quotes by Trump had already been posted.  In other words, the words refuting your lies were already visible for all to see, yet you were undeterred in repeating demonstrably false claims in a premeditated attempt to deceive others here.  Wow.

But that's not all.  Here's what you posted on Feb 27, (from the NY Times of course):

Quote
Anthony Albanese, the prime minister of Australia, said his government endorsed the U.S. attacks on Iran. “We support the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent Iran continuing to threaten international peace and security,” he said in a statement.

He said Iran has been a “destabilizing force” for decades, and pointed to the two terrorist attacks in 2024 in Australia that the Australian government had said had been directed by an arm of the Iranian military. In one attack, men set fire to a Jewish kosher restaurant, and in another arsonists firebombed a synagogue, injuring one congregant. Australia expelled the Iranian ambassador afterward. (Reporting from Washington)

That happened to be the same day you accused Trump of violating the Constitution.  Numerous requests directed at you to identify that violation went unanswered.  As usual.

The Netanyahu/Mossad presentation in the WH Situation Room on Feb 11 was not about nuclear capabilities or locations, they presented "evidence" to support:

°  Iran's greatly diminished military capabilities, including their inability to threaten the Strait of Hormuz

But, Trump knew Netanyahu was full of sh!t, he knew.  I do give him credit for getting through the dinner that followed ----

So, if "Trump knew Netanyahu was full of sh!t", then how can you possibly make the case that Netanyahu led puppet Trump to war for regime change?  There's a contradiction here.  Either Trump embraced those two points of Bibi's assessment, or he rejected them.  By his actions, it is clear he rejected them.  But you are actually here making the case that Trump was misled and acted on acceptance of those two points even after posting yourself evidence contradicting that claim.

The truth simply isn't in you.
