Muslim Oath Project
Congressional Candidate Zuhdi Jasser Won’t Express Support for the U.S. Constitution
May 2026

Hi-profile ‘Muslim reformer’ and Congressional candidate Zuhdi Jasser was sent and re-sent the Muslim Oath Project’s four questions directed at determining whether Muslim candidates for public office and Muslim politicians support the U.S. Constitution as the supreme law of the land.

Jasser failed to respond.  Thus, he won’t express support for the U.S. Constitution.

Jasser is running as a Republican for the U.S. House of Representatives in Arizona’s 4th Congressional District.  (The GOP primary is scheduled for July 21, 2026.)

Jasser poses as a moderate Muslim and reformer.  He suffers under the delusion that the direct word of Allah as transcribed in the Quran, as observant Muslims believe, can be changed.  Such air-brushing is not possible, given standard Islamic doctrine.  Jasser cannot square the circle.  Thus, there is no possibility of a Reformation in Islam as there was in Christianity.

Who knows what the true beliefs of this poseur really are.  The fact that he won’t express support for the U.S. Constitution speaks volumes.

Unwillingness to express support for the U.S. Constitution ought to be disqualifying for any candidate for public office in the U.S., whatever the reason.

Do NOT vote for Zuhdi Jasser.  He is an unknown quantity at best, and a wolf in sheep’s clothing at worst.

  • I was a "conspiracy theorist". Now I'm just right.
There will be no Muslim Reformation because to change so much as a punctuation mark in the Koran is punishable by death. While the Imams are left some small latitude in interpretation or enforcement, the major things (punishable by death) will remain the same and Sharia Law is their law, first and foremost.
In contrast, Christianity is a religion of choice, not compulsion, and in Christianity you can choose to opt in or out without worldly penalty. In Islam, apostasy is a capital crime.

As a "reformer " of Islam, he is an apostate, and fair game for any muslim to kill. No fatwa needed.

That Seat is one of the Arizona seats currently held by a Democrat.  I hope this fellow isn't the best Republican CD4 has to offer!

I would NEVER vote for a muslim.
Not one who declares himself to be "a Republican"...
... or otherwise.

NEVER !

I'd rather the dem-communist candidate win (but I wouldn't vote for him, either).

Doesn't matter, this is likely a "Dem hold" seat anyway.

If he can't take the oath, he can't take the office.

Simple as that.

He'll take the oath and swear fealty to the Constitution. Taquieya.
