Cornered rats
Cornered rats are hard to deal with because they will fight and fight dirty and with desperation.

I remember, in my youth, reading Bored of the Rings, a parody of Lord of the Rings, and one line stood out: “(they are) as hard to kill as a cockroach and easy to deal with as a cornered rat.” That line has come to the forefront in politics recently as a great analogy to the Democrat party.
We’ve all learned one thing in the last few weeks: the Left hates it when their own strategies are used against them. The Supreme Court’s Louisiana v. Callias ruling and the redistricting decision by the Virginia Supreme Court have started to unravel decades of abuse by the Democrat party of the power of the gerrymander.
There was additional blowback. Abigail Spanberger, once touted as a shining beacon for the Left, has become damaged goods after igniting a national firestorm with her power grab in Virginia. She set in motion a cavalcade of chaos, which did little more than make her look like a liar and a devious fanatic. Hakeem Jeffries, already seen as impotent, had that confirmed as well on the national stage. Even the Left’s idol, Obama, was made a fool by Spanberger for not simply following the Virginia Constitution.
What the mainstream media ignored was the abuse the Left has been perpetrating for years, gerrymandering Republican representation to almost nil in the Northeast. Instead, they claimed that what started all of this was Texas and, of course, President Trump.
