Three assassination attempts and miracles
We still know so little about why Donald Trump remains uniquely vulnerable.

Three assassination attempts in two years. It’s unprecedented, not only in number, but in the miraculous quality of Donald Trump’s continuing survival. It’s also very disturbing in that the Secret Service—SS—the self-described foremost protective agency on the planet, has allowed three Democrat-radicalized assassins to get so close. More disturbing is how many unanswered questions about each attempt remain.
July 13, 2024, Butler, PA: of the three, we know less about this one than the others. A 20-year-old with no apparent tactical acumen was able to mount a rooftop within easy rifle range of Trump. He was able to use a drone to recon the site, and despite various law enforcement agents seeing him lurking in the area and even using a rangefinder, and despite bystanders yelling at law enforce enforcement and pointing to the assassin on the rooftop, he was able to fire eight rounds from an AR-15, killing one bystander and wounding two others. Trump was hit in the right ear. Had he not turned his head at precisely the right moment, he surely would have been killed.
The rooftop was the most obvious and dangerous sniper’s perch present, yet it went uncovered. The then female SS Director claimed because the rooftop was sloped, it was too dangerous for her agents. It was not too dangerous for the assassin. We still know very little about how this was allowed to happen.
