A South Carolina inmate facing a minor trespassing charge ended up in deeper legal trouble after allegedly attempting to pay his bond with a “wad” of counterfeit money.
Patrick Alexander, 33, of Mississippi, even told the judge to “keep the change.”
According to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, Alexander was immediately arrested on serious forgery charges following the incident at the Chesterfield County Detention Center.
Officials said a judge had set Alexander’s bond at $250 on a trespassing charge.
