Eric Swalwell Enters California Governor's Race

Katie Porter wasn't enough of a clown show by herself, apparently.

Eric Swalwell enters California governor’s race
The seven-term House member and longtime Trump foe is hoping to capitalize on seemingly wide-open Democratic field.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, an outspoken Donald Trump antagonist, is running for California governor, adding one more Democratic hopeful to the jam-packed field.

The seven-term member of Congress, who represents the San Francisco Bay Area, said on his website he “is running for Governor with fresh ideas and tremendous heart” before appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night.

“I’m running for Governor because prices are too high and people are scared,” he wrote.

A Swalwell candidacy was on nobody’s radar just a few months ago. His decision to enter the race late in the year — when other candidates have had as much as a year’s head start — is the latest sign of an unsettled Democratic field in the race to succeed Gavin Newsom, with no decisive frontrunner.

The leading Democrat, Katie Porter, has been hobbled by unflattering viral videos, while former Health Secretary Xavier Becerra and former Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa have struggled to break into double-digits in the polls. The other contenders — state schools chief Tony Thurmond, former state controller Betty Yee, entrepreneur Stephen J. Cloobeck and former assemblymember Ian Calderon — have failed to break out from the bottom of the pack. ...

This is the guy  farter000000 who claims someplace other than California as his primary residence (but what's a little mortgage fraud among friends?), keep in mind.

40 million people, and the two most likely individuals to become governor of California are a dude who fell for a Chinese honeypot and a woman who poured scalding mashed potatoes on her husband’s head.
Cooked. Absolutely cooked.

It is extremely funny that Swalwell was outed as the sucker's end of a Chinese honeypot operation and that has not harmed his political ambitions in the slightest

Poor poor Cali.  A state were turds rise to the top of the cesspool and run for office.
You don’t become cooler with age but you do care progressively less about being cool, which is the only true way to actually be cool.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.  Note:  Posts may also be allegorical in nature, and not literal.

NY Post, Nov. 13, 2025:
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) was hit with a federal criminal referral for alleged mortgage and tax fraud related to his purchase of a $1.2 million home in Washington, DC, that he claimed as a primary residence, The Post has confirmed.

Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Bill Pulte in a Wednesday letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi requested an investigation of Swalwell based on allegedly false and misleading statements he made about the purchase, NBC News first reported.

The California Democrat was able to secure millions of dollars’ worth of loans and refinancing based on the primary residence declaration in DC, a source familiar with the referral said.  ...

Steyer, Villaraigosa, Porter, Becerra, Swillwell ... no need to bring in the clowns, the Dem-clowns are here.

NEW: Rep. Eric Swalwell, who’s running for California governor, has missed the most floor votes of any active member of the House, according to an analysis by The Post.
He’s even missed more votes than Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva, who died in March

... and I thought California's dumpster fire couldn't possibly get worse. (lol)

Swalwell would be a worse governor than Newsom.

If ever there was a time for a ham sandwich to run for Cali Governor, now is it.

His ad shows us just what a regular guy he is. And how he truly relates to teen black boys.
You can tell this wasn't the least bit scripted.

I'm sure that more than a few Dems' ads will be worthy of 4- and 5-barf-bag ratings. My FB Feed this AM had a post from Swillwell asking people what issues concerned them. I'm sure my honest responses were, ummm, unappreciated.

Speaking of the lovely and charming Katie Porter, thrower of hot food ...

OC Scanner 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
@OC_Scanner
Katie Porter describes herself as “a single mom of 3 teens and an educator”
What Katie Porter leaves out is she threw boiling potatoes on her husband
And I’m not actually sure the last time she ever taught a class at UCI

She’s a single mom because she tried to kill her ex with boiling hot mashed potatoes. And, she’s NOT an educator. She taught one class at UC Irvine. She was given VERY affordable housing on the campus ($510,000 vs $1,200,000 average in Irvine) and, although she hasn’t taught since 2018, she still lives in the house.  Her ex and two boyfriends have restraining orders against her.  Then there’s the horrible way she treats her staff.   Double pass on this psycho.
